    update Shiva' 7/21
  • Shiva's Mistress Outdoor Grow Battle Update (and Battle Code)

Finally got to the plants with my Battle Code card!
Has been a bit of rain lately, so they weren't too thirsty.
Still, decided to hit them with a little Peters 5-11-24 + TE.
I just took in a teaspoon of the powdered nutes,
dropped into their water bottles on site, shake and apply.
The Thai Gold in particular needs it, Jack Herer is doing well still.

Day 84 (Flowering Day 55) La Buena Hierba: Thai Gold Photo

    20200721 LBH Selection (2).jpg

She's really starting to thicken up nicely.
Still needs ... 2-3 more weeks, though.

Day 55 (Flowering Day 18) La Buena Hierba: Jack Herer Auto

    20200721 LBH Selection (1).jpg

Those long colas are starting to take shape, with double bud-lets running all along the long stems.
Stretch has totally slowed down, almost reached her full height, about 100 cm = 39" tall.

Love & hugs to my AFN Outdoor Crew

    Blueberry cookies Harvest
  • @Waira
I Harvested the Dinafem Blueberry cookies. It was a pretty good harvest lots of dank buds.

    Found Bud Rot

The Bud rot was not visible from the outside... the day of and day before Harvest we had high humidity and Heat.90°f plus..
There was never any moisture inside the grow as I kept it covered if it needed to be.
But just because of the Heat and the high humidity there was no place for the green heat to escape in the dank tight buds and this caused the mold. I lost about 15% of some of the best buds.
The main colon wasn't too bad. There was 16 colons total. Most of them about 30 inchs long and the size of a Louisville Slugger. But about six of them were about to size of a kids small bat.
Over all i was able to save the crop and yield was still good .
H202 wash was mandatory for this Harvest. This plant did attract some aphids. Was a small Colony on the lower 3rd node from the top colon. And was washed away quickly. The whole plant filled three layers of my drying screen. I pulled off over 700 g of green leaves. Not including any stocks.

  • New update on the aces, things looking great, have them on automatic watering now and they are loving it. Its getting increasingly difficult to get in there and take pics or even check on them, plants are all over, one wrong move and I lose a branch...

Closer shot of Ripleys OG. Still has this weird growth on it that it hasn't fully kicked. Smells great though a lemon skunk right now, even just when passing by :)

    Hawaiian Maui Wowie Nirvana seeds
  • @Waira

    Getting closer.
The Hawaiian Maui Wowie is doing very well in spite of.. it would do better but as I've said in earlier posts that if it wouldn't have been shaded by the OG fire to her Southside the OG fire the mountain of a plant that she is... the Hawaiian Maui Wowie from Nirvana seeds would have been a much nicer larger plant... as I've grown this plant before several times. She can get very big and produce some sweet bud and Definitely sativa and older connoisseurs can do appreciate.

This plant goes well with super cropping not so well with scrog netting it has to be played with but once it's set up it does very well it can grow massive colons and is good for manifolding. it grows well outside and grows well inside. It's got about a thc high range of a THC of around 18% maybe 20% but generally flows around 16 percent.
It's got a fantastic sativa High. And it can be made Taylor depending on when you harvest it rather the trikes being clear cloudy to Amber or cloudy to Amber or full on Amber...depending on what kind of intense euphoric high you're looking for.... the bugs are dank and hard like little pieces of wood. When the colons are broke down the buds are about to size a flattened out ping pong balls or maybe the size a pheasant eggs. It's generally got a fruity flavor surrounded with Earth Tones a very pleasant high.

I suspect she'll be coming home I would think maybe close to the end of next week I was hoping a bit sooner but it is what it is. There'll be no wine until it's time as the old saying goes.

    Dragon blood HP Bodhi seeds
  • @Waira

    Dragon Blood HP...

:headbang: This is 1 hell of a plant.

This is going to be my grandioso for this competition. :biker:

This is the biggest plant I have in my garden and it has the biggest buds in my garden at the largest Bud being 121 mm across. And almost 2 ft long. I got to say this is my number #1 Pic:kitty:

She's been drinking rainwater about 2 gallons every other day. She never looks like it's thirsty but I always know she's drinking. All the plants in this garden have drank their water... plus some. when I did the transplanting the other day I noticed that the soil was very dry down below at the root Zone much drier than I would expect for 2 gallons most every other day.
So note to oneself when growing in my DIY soil even with all this moisture protecting wood chip bed I have on.... that they can require more water than I expected....I gave the garden 95 gallons of water less than 4 days ago and yesterday I gave it 55 gallons of water. And I'm about to go out and give them another two gallons a peace right now..
I'm glad I have a very large water retainment system. Or I would be in a high water with a lot of City water bills and filters...

    Presenting
    BODHI SEEDS
    DRAGON BLOOD HP
    Growtogrow
2020 photosynthesis plant pick for the 2020 outside grow comp.

Seed: Is Second generation 2018 Flat Rock MI. clone of Bodhi seeds Dragon blood hp. From my 2019 outside Summer grow.

The Only seed retrieved from a 1 pound + harvest.. A 50-50 chance it would either be male or female. And it just so happened to be one of the best females ever.

Not ready yet... But certainly close.
It's Take able now. And has very many uses.

    I'll watch her closely.
The weather man says we're to have a pretty good week with temperature and humidity low....
I'll keep a close eye on her. these buds they're pretty dank... but they're not as dank as the Hawaiian Maui Wowie. But they're close. I'll still be watching out for dreaded Bud rot closely. The fans have been running 24/7 on this plant and the rest of the garden since the last week of June....
    Thanks
