I'm a member of the Shroomery.org - Mr. Piggy turned me on to it. Long story short, they have a financial thread to help people with low incomes develop strategies to minimize debt as well as a venue to suggest additional means of income.
One thing I saw there that caught my eye was Amazon Mechanical Turk. And yes, it's THE Amazon. Dunno what they're up to but it's pretty cool.

It's a website where vendors post small menial tasks that only pay fractions of a dollar, or right around there. But each task only takes anywhere from 5-30 mins.
Tonight I earned about 2 bucks, which is what I spent on beer earlier. I was asked to look at receipts from grocery stores, input the item, quantity and price, then submit the results. Takes me about 2 mins start to finish per task, and in about an hour I make a couple bucks.
You can transfer your earnings directly into your bank account after you've earned enough. And that's free beer or whatever.
Check it out if you're interested. All you need is a computer and an internet connection, so pretty much if you can see this, you can start earning a little extra dough just to sit around, type and get all sorts of medicated. Works for me, so I thought I'd share the wealth.
Also, we should start a Financial Thread somewhere for sharing tips and tricks - I heavily doubt any of us are multimillionaires.
