My first girl Lucy. She's been extremely kind to me.
I've never smoked any good bud in my life. Always brick; from something you'd think had been smuggled inside a donkey to a fairly decent smoke. They usually get the job done. Eventually.
I'm really close to being able to take down my first plant and would it harm progress if I took one bud as trich color develops? Say, 1 when all cloudy. 1 when they get 25% amber and so on? I'd kinda like to see which high I like.
Hope this makes sense. I did just partake of some low grade brick. Not just brick. We're talking brick-brick.

PS does anyone else proofread their posts high and critique yourself? Or is that just me?

I do the same thing @HempyBogart , including harvesting in stages and proofreading and editing my posts. As trichs cloudy and amber up from the top down, I often harvest tops first and leave the rest for later.! :peace:

Keep in mind, final taste and quality will be affected by the drying / curing. If you flash dry, you'll not get the effects you would from slow dry slow cure... now if your just lookin to get a quick buzz, that'll work. Been known to do it myself. Or if you plan on harvesting drying, and curing all different stages that'll work too. In almost every case I've tried, from fire bag seed to seed from dirt weed, a well taken care of plant grown @ home, will outshine the bag it came from everytime.

Hey!
Go for it. The only thing I would caution is it may get a bit racy. Being fresh with just few cloudy can get you wicked buzzed but I recall getting quite speedy and even a bit paranoiac. YMMV.
I always proofread and critique myself. Sometimes more effectively that others!

I clipped a 6gr "budlet" last Tuesday, just to see. Let it hang for 4 days then put it in a paper bag until Sunday morning. It was racy, as @wwwillie warned. Felt that immediately. Flashed back to high school and mini thins. :woody:

Hahaha you know it's funny. Almost every grow I end up taking me some personal nugs when the trichs are still all clear just for the straight up RUSH it gives you. It's crazy it's almost like a dab sometimes it hits so hard and quick. I love it lmao. Innnn fact I am kind of in a similar situation now granted I have smoked lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of fire fire we weed. But never any @mephisto and I have been drooling over there strains for almost 2 years I clipped a little sample nugget that I accidentally broke off of my sour hound and it's drying now in the closet so I will taste the sweet nectar in a couple of days whooooo hoooo

Definitely one of my favorite activities is cleaning the nurfull off the plant halfway through flower... I'm impatient tho, ISO wash and a nail keeps me happy till harvest. Same process with all the sugar leaves and droppings from the trim, but that gets painted on papers.. twist one up and... high school high. Lying on the back deck staring at the stars, contemplating the universe.:vibe:

Just wondering what the consensus is on when to harvest? Somewhere I read that the amber color is a sign it is beginning to dry out and that you should harvest when most of the trichomes are cloudy. What do you guys say?
