Trying my first too soil mix

Thats Just Solid ..Hoaa Boy Let us Know When this Is Run ! Lol

No worries. If you are in need to get a grow going quickly you could probably cut that mix with 1:1 peat to mix and add about 20% perlite and would grow just as good a plant as anyone with it. My only reasoning behind giving you all of that information is to get as close to the perfect mix as you can so that it cuts down on guess work if you run into problems in the future. You will have a very well documented mix that you can recreate every time with little worries. I still haven't perfected mine but I use it with every grow and continue to send samples off with every new batch. Eventually I will get it where I like it but for the time being I use it and see where it's weak spots are.

If you were to choose to use that mix while you are still working on it just be sure to start your seeds on something else and let them get a good root system before you transfer them. A lot of people on AFN tier, or start in a plastic container and then cut the bottom off and plant that in to soil so as to not disturb the roots so much.

Best of luck!

Well then it looks like I'm off to the races once again... But first I have to get the scrubber connected and the power and lights to the shed installed, hopefully I can get that started Sunday. Then arrange the room and pop some seeds.
im really looking forward to this...

Yea Dirt!
Thats awesome.

:Smokin:
Dirt weed is always taste best!

Well fellow AFNers I want to apologize for the slow start as I had several personal issues to resolve (my son got involved with heroin) and the city decided to audit my business. After all that then the state in which I live voted on decriminalizing and that didn't go very well, sometimes if I didn't have bad luck I'd have no luck at all.

the question that I have is since the soil was as ready as it was going to get and then it has sat in the cold she'd do I need to do anything to revive it prior to growing?

Once again thanks in advance for any help

did it freeze? If not you should be fine man, warm n stir it a few times making sure your moisture is cool.it MIGHT have slightly less activity cuz of die off but youll prolly be fine.if your stressing just re inoculate it once n stir n plant.but ya prolly dont need it,especially if your doing teas.:Sharing One:

Yes, just let it warm up and you'll be good to go.

What he said.

Just like outdoors, when the soil gets cold the microbiology goes dormant. Some of it dies but mostly they just get inactive. Let it warm up, you may want to add some more beneficial bacteria like an EWC tea and some food for them such as some simple sugars or molasses. Once they are active, you are good to go.

To add, sorry to hear about your son. I have been in his shoes and it isn't a happy place for long. It can be beat but it takes a lot of work. Don't be too hard on him, the addict already beats himself up enough and it doesn't help the situation. Be supportive but not enabling. Prayers for you and your family.

Thanks everyone and A4 thank you as I haven't looked at it thru that perspective.

Now the grow box that I built was designed for fall growing and tring to get the temps where I want them is proving problematic. I designed the box to work on a single 15 amp circuit but with the additional heat demand another 15 amp circuit will be required to run the heaters, so off to revise the box before poping seeds and of course I need to warm up the soil.

one additional question, My wife and I recently acquired our retirement property, it's a wood 1.5 acre lot so I brought back some of the soil, should I mix this in with what put together already or just grow with what I made, I was thinking that it couldn't hurt but then again I won't have any idea of where the soils at as far as nutrients and minerals go. Once again your advise is invaluable.
