Trying my first too soil mix

"Munch..munch..munch Aloha Dirt~

Best advice I've had all day, so ty I think I will.

Following along on your soil journey is fascinating! Much to learn.
I've had to use google (a 100 times+) just to figure some of this stuff out.
I like that part too. I have subbed this thread for future & present reference.

Aloha~

Welcome Hapa!

Thanks as I find it interesting also, I read just about every night and as you can tell ask the questions from the experts here, these guys are fantastic.
when you get a chance pop some seeds and mix some soil, works great to reinforce the I for that you can obtain here at AFN

Great thanks A4, I will place an order shortly. How will we know when Dragons are available as I would really like to grow some of them?

I am guessing, just a guess though, that they will be updated in the thread below. It looks like Mossy has given GA6 permission to reproduce them but I am not sure of the timeline. You will have to speak with him about that.

Last time I checked, Stone Dragons were available at Autoflower-Portal.net not sure what else they may have. There are a lot of people here that have grown them and my understanding is they are an excellent medical variety. Check with EoF or Stickman, they both have grown them regularly and can give you details on the medical qualities of it.

Okay Peep's I've got another one of my endless questions, since my auto passed away and I poped a photo (she sprouted on Mar1), knowing that I grow in a Cabinet and summer is coming along in a few months I won't have much time to veg, how young can I go before switching to 12/12, first set of three or first set of five or even older. The problem I will have is controlling Cab temps even with chillers as they are in an unconditioned space and the chillers don't like temps above 75 degrees before they start losing capacity. I really don't want to see cab temps in or near 100 degrees.

Any input is greatly appreciated

Thanks

I am not too sure on that one Dirt as I have never done an early flip. Let me ask one of the other photo growers and see if he has any experience with a short veg.

Dirt, you can flip any photo within 2 days of popping above ground. If it is an indica dom it will stay short and yield less and will veg for about two weeks and then start flowering. If it's a pure sativa, there are many that should only be grown straight from 12/12 or they get out of hand and too tall. My brainstorm haze's, I always grow from 12/12 because of that very reason and a 14-16 week flower time is unrealistic for most. Its basically like taking any photo and making it grow like an auto. 2-3 weeks to set roots and veg and then it will flower :tiphat: Hope that helps brother :Sharing One:

DubV &A4

Yup, sure does, that's what I thought but with as much reading as I do sometimes I confuse myself.

I transplanted into the 5 gal bucket that I'll be growing her in, prewatered with an EWC tea the day before and just a little oxygenated water when transplanted in with the great white. CO2 levels set a 1500 and they swing from 1200 ppm to 1600 thru its settings. Temps are at 85-87 degrees with RH varying between 29-45%.
She's off to the races and hope this soil isn't to hot because I didn't retest.
going out of town for a week or so then I'll post pic when I get back.

feels good to be growing again
Have a great weekend everyone, smoke a little and joke a little , a little love won't hurt either....

I've only grown photos and this is the first time I flipped them before they showed sex, but that's because I knew they were really close to showing. I'm traumatized from a few hermies I discovered earlier this year (after mega-main-lining) so I try my hardest not to... I'll say... "mess" with them too much. (I have sworn off of fem seeds, almost)

I have heard of ppl starting them 12/12 after a solid week or two above ground with no issues so.., go for it!

I hear you on the temps too... I cringe when they get to 85 degrees and adjust my ballast down to 25% or 50%.
I have to open up my tent sometimes, which means I prolly have dog hairs in my buds now.
(I think back to all the stuff I've smoked that was grown outside and what all may have adhered to those sticky buds and think..."a few dog hairs won't kill me"... just pick 'em out! eww tho)

now bugs on the other hand? no can do!

hope you have an excellent day it's beautiful outside

aloha

Okay fellow AFN'ers

Only have a couple of photo's but some are better than none, I was worried all the time that I was gone as I have no one to check on them and I think thats a good thing, you know as they say, "the less people that know..."

The first thing that I did when I got back home was to check the soil moisture, and guess what, Still Moist!!!!! She only had two single leafs when I left and look at her now, ALL PURTY.... and such.

This organic thing ir really cool as she has only ever had plain water until placed under the Solar Storm and then the water was supplemented with Cal Mag only. I did notice that I now have gnats so Ill take care of them shortly but other than that she doesn't require much care, the cab does all the work and the temps and humidity stay acceptable for now...Don't want to jinx myself...

Tomorrow I'll flip to 12/12 due to time restraints and in a couple of weeks I'll add the two 90 watt UFO's to the mix and see what happens, right now I have them off and I can alway turn them back off if heat starts to become an issue, we will see as spring is here and summer is a commin....

Well Guys and Gals

I figured out where the salts came from in my mix, The Mushroom Compost, if you do use this product you might want to flush it real good first.
Hopefully Ill have some more pictures for you all tomorrow
