New Grower Ultimate n00b Question about Nute Feeding.

Hello AFN. Looked all over the forum, even used search engine and could not find such a fundamental question. I am not saying it is not here somewhere, I could not find it, as I am sure it is covered in many places. My ignorance I am sure.

Starting first AF grow using Pro-Mix Hp and the GO box.
Could not find how often to feed. Is it every time they need water, every other time, or once per week?

I think everyone has their own way of feeding their plants, so ultimately it's down to personal choice. I personally feed everytime I water.

A lot of when to start is based on the soil you're in...I don't know anything about ProMix HP, I'm a Fox Farms guy, but you'll need to do some research RE: how much nutrient base is already incorporated in the soil. For instance, my Happy Frog has enough in it that I didn't have to start feeding veg nutes until 2 weeks after the seedling sprouted.

Standard rule of thumb, though, is that autos (in general) are more sensitive to nutrients and it is advised to start with 1/4 strength concentrations of whatever the company's standard feed schedule is. You can test the plant's reaction to that strength and move up carefully. Also, if you're using an LED light, you'll want to augment with the Cal/Mag (I think the GO Box comes with Ca/Mg+) a little more frequently than otherwise advised.

I do a feed, then a cal/mag water.like trapp said leds use more calcium and magnesium.with pro mix u probably wont start doin a 1/4 strength grow feed till wk 4 maybe wk 3 depends what she looks like.good luck
