I would love to do a jan 1st start with a solid indoor setup...yikes big is what they would be come october!! Its really quite amazing that they grow that big from june 1st to oct 1st.

But........... Australia is in the southern hemisphere!
They're already in Summer!!!! No fair!

Seriously, a lot of crops do an early and late season here.
Why should mary jane be any exception? :p
 
Hahaha :D Okay, okay I think you have it for the northern hemi!

Yeah I have no idea what strategy I would use if I was growing in your limited light hours. I guess revolving around the heavy storm season, to try to minimize damage there. Its such a different place than my climate. Our light is 16.5 hours at the peak and we lose 2-3minutes daily, starting at june 21st. Strains I pick generally flower 3-7 weeks after the peak, and the hours decline.
