Update Feeding Chart for AF?

Once my Northern Lights shows signs of preflower ((if she ever does... She survived 4 days of darkness, and a week of the GLR...with no feed)) I'm planning cutting back to 1/2 tsp MC with a 1/2 dose of Beasty Bloom and maybe reg. feedings of Bloom nutes. She's freaking starving and stretching out right now... At this point she's getting 1 and 1/2 spoonfulls of MC so I can try to push her to her limit so I know how much a NL strain can take in Veg.

My buds are for personal use, So I honestly don't care how pretty they are... As long as they smoke well, taste good, and there's enough to last me until my next plants are harvested and dried.

for anyone worried about N, I would just use 1 extra product, Bud Explosion. So MEGA CROP with slightly reduced dosage, then Bud Explosion to boost PK in flower this should solve anyones problem.

:smoking:--- yeah, or that! Actually, it brings up a question I had at Rebel's test thread,... basically, what are the secondary and micronute contents of Red Line, Monarch Bloom and Bud Explosion? As the MC content is reduced to lower N input (and it has to significantly reduced to do so) , the concern is losing out on other vital nute elements, particularly micro's..... BE and MB are so concentrated too, it can be all too easy to over-do them for some folks ( I see this fairly often at Sick Bay), though I like how they are strongly P or K biased in ratio they are for application at the right stages ,.... RL at 1-5-4 is easier to work with as a base bloom nute for swapping out with MC,....

@Dichoti -- none taken mate, I get the sentiment,... I offer the counterpoint of it's not about pretty, it's about quality,... I don't grow for yield ever either,... like many I want high Q' all the way, and that means getting the best bud:leaf ratio I can for that given strain,.. no doubt, some are more leafy than others even at their best,...

Out of the two gorilla glues I grew, One was leafy as hell. The other gave me 6 oz of golfball to redbull can sized buds. Both got the same feed, but the leafy one was fed too much, too early, I think.

How much would you say a heaping spoonful of MC weighs, gram wise. (Spoon being the type you eat cereal or soup with).
Just asking because our scales don't match up.

Curious if anyone has done enough testing that they have a good feel for a feeding schedule. There are a lot of posts to go thru so figured just using this discussion would be best.

I have a semi-related question that you may have insight on. I am currently growing two ladies in Roots Organics and they are on day 4. I haven't used anything yet as far as nutrients are concerned except for Sweet Candy. If I were to start using this feeding schedule do you think my ladies will experience nutrient burn being that my soil is not nutrient-free?

I can't say and I don't want to say sure no problem and you burn your plants! Someone else might know.

Not sure many of us don't get some level of nutrient burn at least on tips, so you may want to reword your question. It looks like a bud sweetener so you would use with MC. In fact they tell you a sugar is the only thing not in MC. Sweet Candy isn't a base nutrient more like an secondary nutrient, you wouldn't use just this to grow with. It "makes" your bud taste and smell better, also to help yield. You will be fine to use with MC, just use correct amount recommend.

I understand that SC is an additive not a base. My concern is using MegaCrop this early May kill my plant because the soil already comes with nutrients in it. But since it’s my first run and super early in the grow, I guess just experimenting and feeding the plants MegaCrop won’t hurt

Ok, that's different if roots organic has nutrients in it. I thought it had nothing and you just have used SC. No then you don't want to use MC yet. I have only used OF, and I have heard you don't need feed for like 1st 6 weeks. Not sure if the same with roots, but I would think it's similar. I would wait 4-6 weeks then start with bloom dosage. Go low and see if you need more or less and go from there.
