One week since flip, 74 days since sprout. All is doing well. The gal in the Cannacage is pretty much the same height as the 2 plants i mainlined. The biggest girl though out of the 5 Purple Frost Giants is the one in the back center. Most of the training on her has been super cropping. All is doing very well. The girl in the cage has exploded over the week! All are getting Jacks Bloom and Botanicare supplements from the Autopot system. 1.8ec 5.8ph.

Day 61 for the testers. Looking good. Breeder states 75-85 days… will prob go longer. Breeder also stated two phenos… just got this info earlier this week. So I got both phenos lol. Either way, it is what it is.

 

[Cannacages]

Hey Team!

I wanted to check in with our side-by-side growers, and share what my harvest looked like using a Cannacage and a control.
Both plants are the same strain from seed (Tangie) from @cropkingseeds
Same environment (78F +/-55RH)
Same nutrient feed (mainly roots organic)
Same pot size (6 gallon)
The control plant had a singular bottoming session and was never topped, trained or pruned in any way. The Cannacage plant was topped once.

In comparing the control to the Cannacage, the control had 28 shoots/branches and the Cannacage produced 82 shoots! Doing the math, the Cannacage produced 2.92x the shoot growth when compared to the control!

Similarly with the yield, the cannacage produced 1.76x as much bud as the control, or a 76.255% increase totaling just over ~3/4 of a pound!! WOO!! With my set up I was able to produce as much as 6 plants with only 2 plants in this most recent harvest. My watering time was also cut down by 75% with watering everything by hand. I also used ~75% less nutrients by only having to water 2 plants instead of 6.

To all of the growers here, do you have any pieces of data you could extrapolate before harvest? Are you keeping your canopy even? With your current setup, are you watering more/less? About how long do you spend pruning the plant a week comparatively to other plant maintenance in your garden? What are your overall thoughts and points of feedback? Open to any and all points of criticism!

Day 85

I flipped her into flower today

She is filling out the cage now so i thought it was a good time to flip into flower so i can start tying more branches to the cage and maybe supercrop her down

She is already trying to regrow the mess i removed

Girls are in late flower now. Day 68 of 75-85. Water uptake has started to slow down. HLG 600rspec is at top of tent at 595 watts, temp is steady at 72-75 F humidity varies by outdoor conditions as we are in winter now. They have a nice fade to them going but I believe the bulking is not done. May “Schwazz” them for the sprint to the finish line, prob today. As stated earlier, wish I had caged the other pheno but couldn’t have known… didn’t til it was too late. I believe the outcome would’ve been greatly different.

Day 91, day 6 into flower

I mixed up 300-350ppm bud explosion and 1150ppm of megacrop in veg she was loving 1350ppm of just megacrop.


She has responded to 12/12 perfectly which is cool to see being my 1st photo plant flip. I'm harvesting those other plants so we won't see them in the way anymore and ALSO have more space to spread out the branches and utilized the cage better

3 weeks since flip yesterday. She's cruising along. Bud sites are stacking nicely. Her and her sisters are getting Jacks for Tap and Botanicare supplements at 1.8ec 5.8ph. Temps been running 68°F at lights off and 77° lights on. 45-55%Rh

Thank you brother!! Appreciate it!! My finger and thumb was sore after I defoliated the room, lol. Takes me to long if I use scissors
