Star Ryder's- Damn, I wish that purple one got bigger...these two are making nice, crystally, proper calyx:leaf ratio buds...

<--
Hercules & MI5-
Herc' is starting to 'tree' up, in miniature; buds look kinda funny- skinny, but with large calyx's, trich's look good too; MI5 is really trying to squeeze out more quality (not so leafy) bud

<--
PK- Incredible color! great tric's,..TFB it's leafy

<--
Red Dwarf's- both filling out better now, Petite is a bit airy, but both are sparkly and heavenly aromatic... ambient aroma is very different from when it's touched, and changing subtly...

<--
RRF's- 1st one is pretty leafy still, but 2nd is improving; also getting sticky looking! sun leaves shutting down quickly now too.. I removed several all-done ones off both already, to get some Sun down inside more..

<--
B. Lee's!- 1st one is the shorter, w/ denser bud build, 2nd one (2 pics by accident)looks exactly like the 1st that's been taffy-stretched 6" taller! ..Still the champs of this run, but they'll come in last for sure...

<--
Cobra's- shorty only this time,... because I took an extra B Lee pic instead by not paying attention :joint: LMAO!! definitely a foned stool move!

Hey, I got a killer dual lens c/u pic of one of her cola tops that worked!...
{WEEK 8}
Home stretch baby! Sun leaves shutting down more and more, buds are bulking up some, trichome development is progressing along with increasingly distinct aromas from the girls,...a little cooler weather has slowed things down some, but as usual that'll change soon; looks like the RRF's are in the lead so far, but no positive sign of
bud leaf color change just yet... I can now tell that several of these strains 'wanted' to do better, but just couldn't get over the earlier trauma. A couple big picture lessons learned on this grow: auto's are not very forgiving plants, relative to their photo' cousins; we've all seem the Company claims about how 'easy' a given strain is to grow,... sure, if things are just peachy 24/7!

I'm not sure what the actual determining factor(s) is from strain to strain that make one more tolerant vs. another,... certainly the % ruderalis is part of it, along with any potential quirkiness in the photo parentage,...

Case in point, the B. Lee's, which handled everything with aplomb, but were clearly, from the very beginning, showing more photo' growth characteristics than the others... I'd like to hear from the experts on all this for sure! Regardless, I'm shocked at how bad consequence seems to flow downstream time-wise from troubles early on in the grow... Also, I can't help but wonder if that stunting doesn't
just reduce the size of the plant and alter it's shape, but negatively alter the calyx:leaf ratio as well.... Case in point, the UV's, a strain with good rep' and reported size, but for me turned into >1ft sticky leaf plugs!.... It's like the stress causes the plant to go into 'ruderalis survival mode', reducing height, branching, and even calyx density,... maybe because (potential) seed production is an enormous energy and material drain on a plant... Hmmm, something else to quiz the experts about...

Meanwhile, back at planning HQ, I've started the 2 Crm. Mandarines and 1 Crm. Caramel seeds to soaking,... picked up a few Smart pots 5 gal, Roots org. soil and HF to start them in. The plan is to go direct into final pots, with a pocket well of HF to start the seedlings in after they crack and shoot
a little... HF has slightly better nute's in it than Light Warrior, but not quite as rich as RO,... theoretically! The HR seeds will come soon, I hope....time's running out here.... :cough:
