weird spotting on week old seedlin

I could picture it before even seeing it. I have had that many times on my seeds, and never seen any effect. They will grow out of it. Something makes me think it could be a genetic thing. It never goes past the second pair of leaves either.

I never worry about strange spots at this age.
If I see any, I will give them a close look for any thrips or thrip larvae and give the leaves a light rub between my fingers to be sure (even very small larvae cannot tolerate a finger over their back)
Otherwise those spots are just as likely to splash burns as anything.
At a week out of seed, the nutrient needs are very slight, almost any amount of Calcium or magnesium should bee fine.
And as far as I am concerned, if a person is having regular "calmag" problems, they need a new nutrient line regardless of what lights they are using and what strain they are growing.

...:toke:-- this isn't a Ca defc. bro, too soon for such things, plus you've added some in already,... true, coco needs elevated amounts to deal with it's odd CEC, and bricks tend to not be as well rinsed as ready to use stuff,... I'm not a coco pro, but you did the right thing using Ca-Mg with the rinsing, but not enough as Fantasy pointed out,... have your read up on coco and it's native high Na and K content, and the why behind rinsing with Ca-Mg solution? Just covering the bases here,.. but the spotting looks like physical damage, possibly lensing burn as suggested from splashed water.nute's, and the intense lighting,.... 22" away, and it's a 900W LED? ...might want to raise it even more,.... are oyu watching the pH as well?

I think of it as freckles. It is not from a deficiency. One of those things that makes no difference, so do not get fixated on it. Those dots tend to develop most frequently when I start seeds with fluorescent. If that is actually a connection and not a coincidence.

Ill take a pic of it and post it as a update today its a week and two days old. I do remember a few drops of water that had nutes in them did get on the leaves in question but not like what the discoloration shows. I want to say this seedling is so small for its age right? I just checked my mw802 ph combo meter last night in Milwaukee 7.0 calibration fluid and 1500 ppm calibration fluid . Everything checks out as ok.

But im sure we've all thought about if our ph pens are broke. I have the weirdest feeling i didnt calibrate my pen right my solution is about 59 degrees ferinheight so it should be adjusted to 7.04 on my meter. Funny thing is it only goes in increments of tens haha... more depressing than funny i guess. So you guys think i should raise the lights? Its 900 watts but only pulls 400 mars claims 3.4 amps i think.

I just made another five gallons of nutrient solution comming in at 700 ppms. I put some of botanicares blast off and some amber humic acid in. Any idea what that humic acid does? General hydroponics rapid start rooting enhancer general hydroponics flora nectar for my mykos to eat. Cal mag plus RIGHT DOSSAGE this time ha. Flora nova grow and some silica by dyna grow.
