No No No, please don't do this. Autos get stunted when you dig them up, they also stunt in miracle grow. Like Go Auto says it's likely to be ph.
What they are saying about the water is tap water tends to have chlorine in it and chlorine is bad for the plants sand soil. When you put the water in an open bucket and especially if you put one of those aquarium bubbling stones in it the chlorine will evaporate from the water. Before you do that it's a good idea to check your city water management website and make sure they use chlorine and not chloramine. Chloramine is a combination of chlorine and ammonia and will not evaporate. Personally I have a small grow and use those jugs of filtered water from the store.
Now as far as a ph meter goes, make sure you get a good one! Look around the equipment review section or ask others what they use to get a good idea. Those cheapo soil probes they sell at the store plain don't work. You'll be spending about 40 bucks to get one that will work for your needs, I'm sure others will chime in if they have a better one for cheaper. Personally I use an Accurate 8 PH meter for the soil and I forget the name of my liquids meter.
Man great post fellas TY. Ok so my girl is 2 weeks today. Im assuming im like a week and 1/2 behind schedule. Auto Afghan Mass supposedly is a 60 65 day plant. Is there anything I can do now before i acquire a ph meter to fix my screw up haha. Or should i just pack up and try again lol. Seems you guys are saying leave it from what im reading lol. Just asking ur opinion on doing the drastic.
Be nice and calm around your wee one, too. She knows if you're stressed out about her and it'll freak her out. Talk to her nice and friendly, like a little kid, and sing her lullabies or even a Ramones tune, if that's your thing. Your good vibes will help her heal and motivate her.
Half of you wanna laugh, well go'head. You just haven't realized yet that plants are people too.
Well good news my stem grew haha. Leaves still seem the same still green and reaching for the light. Oh and our water supply uses chlorine not chloramine. Shes not dead so im sorta optimistic haha.
