Hello all,
I cut my plant at the stem and leave to hang dry upside down in a tent, at around 16-20c (rises during day and falls at night). I leave all the fan leaves etc on.
The smell is really strong off the buds for a few days, flowers are sweet and sticky, until around the 4-5 day mark, when the outside of the buds begin to dry off, the beautiful scent of my flowers is replaced with a very average terp, fresh kind of smell, which I can never seem to recover.
Is this normal? And if not, what more can I do to prevent this? I thought drying in these cooler temperatures, combined with the dry trim method would result in better smells and tastes.
Cheers
