Hi, i am curious as to what would be better for a 3.8ft X 3.8ft X 7ft area. i am looking at 2 G8 240w leds or 2 platinum p300's? i like the p300 more because of the veg and bloom switch but g8 seems like they know theyre way around a led light lol. any input or better led lights idea. both these lights are between 309-370 $ so fairly cheap for led lights. quality by the looks and reviews as well.

Hello,
To be honest both of lights are a bit pricey... i wanted to buy platinum leds too but p450 series and i have speak with sales into platinum led after a bit of talk i figured out that they are selling e.Shinesystems leds... So if you check prices on e.shinesystem you will se that they are even more cheaper and same units... So i decided to go with cidly leds Apollo series which are far cheaper and as far better in quality due they make modular series which is really easy to replace by yourself... im planning to order 2x Apollo 6 series for about 460 $ with shipping.

really? are there any reviews of cidly leds on here? i just want the best led for price and make sure all area is covered really well with correct spectrum.

I am day 38 of my first grow. I have two mars-hydro 300 watt original panels. They seem to be working good. Plants are flowering. I bought both of them for $200. They lack UVB. I figured this out after I emailed them and they told me to add some UVB for ultimate performance. I bought a $13 UVB reptile bulb on amazon. I thought it was good service to let me know. Bang for your buck I don't see any reason why not to go with these guys.

If anyone disagrees please let me know. I am about to purchase two more. I don't have a lot of experience but I have done some research.

ive read a lot about mars-hydro lights, id like to have 2 lights for better coverage. recommendations 1 light or 2 and which ones? is it the best bang for buck?

First off I am a noob, so beware because there are people here that are growing some amazing stuff, but my lights are working. I like the idea of multiple lights because I can adjust the height if I have plants at different heights. Also, total actual draw is more for the same price. I bought the old models because I was on a budget. Honestly I don't get the difference between the newer models and the older. I have done a ton of research for my first grow and I am taking a break from "learning" until my next grow. I am just wanting my plants to finish so that I can get high.

I also noticed that they are about to come out with a new model. I think it is like any other electronics, every year will be a an upgrade. My plan is to run them 3 grows and then buy 2 more of the mid priced ones at that time as I believe that the longer the leds run they lose potency and with the cheaper lights like mars-hydro it is a little cost effective.

I get it now blessed. The jack Daniels is kicking in. I started with a simple plan of 1 plant, a few cfls, and a card board box. Then I found AFN and I am trying to convert every square foot I can in my house into a grow area.
