New Grower Worst-grower-ever tries Trans Siberian, Afghan Kush Ryder, and Northern Lights Blue Auto ;D

Hell yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If it makes you feel any better, my AKR which had been going for what I presume to be well over 90 days, weighed in at a measly 20g of the most gangly, crap-tastic looking buds, but with a great smell and a hint of purple. Definitely a high THC bud with much lower CBD than the Jack Herer I just grew.. It's been in the jar over a week now, and the smell is really coming out.. The smoke is good, but I know with a good cure, it will get better.. I think you did great!!!!! Just think though, that's 2oz you DON'T have to get off the local market!!!! Besides, you have the knowledge from the grow and the wisdom to make it better next time!! :)

Thanks man!!! I appreciate the kind words ;D

I think I did learn a few things this time for sure.

I think the biggest lesson was that growing weed is a marathon. You gotta like... be in it for the long run. It's not hard per se, but there isn't too much room for mess ups along the way and it's a longgg way, gotta grind it out 5 minutes at a time for a few months.

Thanks again for stopping by the grow a few times ;D I appreciate the replies and all the info I can get!

You did fine for first effort. Next grow you should do better as you would of learnt from your mistakes. Each grow should improve if you are learning what not to do next time.

I don't think you had fungus on top of the rockwool, just looks like insane salt build up. I always have that white crust on the bottoms of my pots after a grow. I think you just need to adjust your feedings, plants feed differently under different types of light sources. The slime on your roots could've been from the beneficials, or pythium. I used to add beneficial bacteria and fungi to my grows, but I've had more success replacing them with H2O2, the extra oxygen's benefits are more obvious than what I saw with bacteria/fungi.

Either way, congratz on the harvest. Good luck on your next grow.

Thanks for the reply man ;D I am pretty sure it was fungus because it was slimy and not hard, and would grow back within a week or two.

I could definitely be wrong though....

I agree with you on the h202, I am scrapping my beneficials (bacteria and fungus) for hygrozyme (compatible with h202) and h202 in my next grow.

I am definitely all about synthetic, not alive, type of shit LOL... partly for philosophical reasons (I dislike the idea that organic matter is special, or somehow "good" or different than the rest of the decaying matter in the universe), partly for practical reasons.... I think things are simpler when you have 1 life form to take care of.

I started using 3% hydrogen peroxide at about 3ml per gal toward the end and I did notice improvement in the root zone (even at that mild dose) rather quickly. Since I am planning to use it pretty much for the whole grow I don't think I will go much higher than 5ml/gal at 3%, though I am def interested if you have a schedule that you like for the h202.

Thanks again for stopping by ;D

I only wish this was my first effort LOL... been growing for 2.5 years, I'm just hella bad at it ;D
