You just won a couple grand on a scratch off ticket! Whoo! You're going to buy an LED with your winnings...but you can't decide between these four.....

Pro Grow X5-300

189X-PRO - 290w

Diamond Series XML 350

Magnum Plus

They are all expensive but that is the least of your concern. Priority is Performance. Potency. Yield.

Anyways... which would you choose? (Please stick to these four unless you have a suggestion that is extremely similar in terms of wattage, leds, etc.)

None for me, i would go with a gavita light, or an papillon 1000w. But i would choose different from you due to difference in grow style, and setup. You should size the light according to your space. Everyone is going to have difference of opinions on lights expecially LED lights. But if i was going with an led light right now... I would choose either
Gro Blu

Or

The new Mars II 1600

I know that dont help you with the choices you put up, but them are the two i would choose from. :Sharing One:

Okay well the "you" thing was a joke. I can already see where this is going so I'll amend...

You also hate all other LEDs, in fact you live on a planet where no other LEDs exist and these four are the only LEDs to choose from.

These four are all comparable in terms of coverage area and supposed quality.

IMO if you limit yourself to just those 4 you are going to miss out on some good lights and will likely pay more than you should. I would immediately scratch that 189X-Pro off your list. HydrogrowLED are the last people you want to buy from. They are very well know both here and across the web for their poor reputation. They have attempted an internet smear campaign against at least two other LED vendors and at one point turned a customer into LEO to avoid a customer service issue.

I'd buy three cheaper panels for the beam crossover and spend the other half of the money on anything I felt like.

Btw anyone know why the 189X-Pro only runs at around 50% power?

The only gd one of theese 4 is the diamond xml 350 the rest is crappy overpiced shit. i would go for a topled grownothern or purple alien unit as theese are proofed to work proper!

Thanks Muddy. With the net it is extremely difficult to tell if a company is reputable or not. I had an opportunity to buy one of these used for one grow at half price. Hence the limited selection . Also, the Pro Grow 5w has a video grow journal on YouTube that was rather convincing. Anyways... my second space still needs an upgrade and with this one my choice is unlimited.

So... if you could pick any LED for a 4' x 4' what would it be? There are so many manufacturers out there with such a range of prices and claims at quality that it is overwhelming.

Thanks so much for the info and patience guys/gals

Gotta agree with lycaboss.....that new 1600W MarsII is awfully appealing for a big gun.

I actually like both of those manufacturers. Tang's Dutch Passion grows are ridiculous and part of the reason I am looking at LEDs. But I am in the US so I was trying to stick with a US manufacturer. Area 51 and Apache were recommended on another forum. The DS XML 350 was the one I was originally leaning towards.

I was thinking less than < 400w for my proposed space and application

Oh and if the light was clearly superior I would order from Mars let alone the UK. Although I'm hoping a human American can make something comparable

Well Topled does Free Us shipping. Its more expensive to get them to Europe then to Usa ;) + they are really freaking cheap which makes them the no. 1 for my low budged tent with no downside on effect.
