Hi guys. Hope you are all well.
After a few grows in a 50 ltr res with multiple plants in there, I have decided to do a full RDWC.
I an using 3 21ltr buckets with air stones in each and a small pump to circulate the nutrient solution. Also using 13mm nutrient return pipe with isolation valves at key points to make upkeep a bit easier.

I have chosen DP's auto Ultimate as a strain. Does anyone have experience with this strain. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

I have built the main res tank and hope to start plumbing together tonight of tomorrow. Here is an image of my idea. Please feel free to pitch in with any ideas, pitfalls, and advice.

DP auto ultimate under GN Leds with Dutch pro nutes

Hi guys, well the little plans got off to a shaky start, One came out quite runty and looking quite deformed with a micro leaf on one side and a normal on the other.
I started tem in the res at about

580ppm
PH 5.8
Using Dutch pro

Take Root 1ml/ltr
Multi total 2ml/ltr
Auto grow A 1.5ml/ltr
Auto Grow B 1.5ml/ltr

Two weeks on from above and the roots are looking very healthy and in the nutrient solution. One of the plants is still showing some deformities, but I have chosen to push on with it anyway

Hi dude, glad you stopped by. At the moment they are under 1 Grow Northern MS06 led panel. When required later they will sit under 2 MS06 panels and 2 GN equivelant GN08s. they are exactly the same spec as the GrowNortherns, in the same case with same Power supplies and LED specs, just a bit beefier!

Hows your grow going?

Ofh.. Thats some serious light youve got. Planning on growing monsters ? I think they are going to get huge. Seems like you know what you are doing, for me its still a guessing game. But everyone has been in that place. Ill be fallowing your grow closely. Wish u the best time growing.

HELP I think I have root rot or Somit.

Hi guys, I hope you are all well.

For the first time in about 6 DWC grown I seem to be having root problems. One of the plants looks rust patchy and it is gradually working up the plant.

I had a look at the roots and there seems to be some browning. I dont think its slime, Could it be rot?

I have ordered some H202, and I really need some expert advice. This plant seems to be going downhill fast!

Please take a look at the pictures belowe.

Your roots don't look bad.
From the very start of your grow the thing that stuck out at me was how high your nutrient concentration was.
Personally, I'm surprised the plant lived this long.
Auto's use WAY, WAY less nutrients than regular plants.
580ppm for that seedling was WAY too much, and it showed.
Like I said, I'm surprised it lived.

I can't push past 580 in FULL BLOOM without signs of overfeeding running 3 foot monster half pound Think Different Auto's. (I generally get at least one of those pheno's per grow)
For a seedling, that's death, lol.

DEFINITELY Looks like overfeeding in my humble opinion.
Flush with plain water for few couple days.
Start back with nutrients at about 400ppm.
Work your way up from there.
With auto's, too little is WAY better than a little too much. You blew WAY past a little, lol.
After a couple day flush, new growth should start to look better.

I wouldn't plan on getting above about 600ppm even when that plant is in FULL BLOOM.
Everyone's nutrients, and water are different, but those numbers I gave you are a pretty safe bet.

Also, if you're going to run anything for root problems, H2o2 isn't it. Look into brewing Microbe Teas.
If it was slime, h2o2 would make it worse. So would enzyme products.
The only cure for slime is bennies.
Cheap, easy and has a HUGE impact on all aspects of your plant.
Use all the rooting hormones, and bottles you want.
They'll never compare to what you get from running bennies in your res.
AND... You'll NEVER get rot, or slime. EVER.
Plants will deal with all types of environmental stress better.
They will also better assimilate nutrients.
Bennies= Da Bomb!

Peace.

Many thanks tadiddude,

My PPM counts are including the tap water of about 300, does that make more sense , or is it still to high?

My roots looked a little slimy early on, i rinsed them in tap water. Are you using CalMag supplement?
