Lighting AFNs live LED help thread.

Bysen,Cidly and Eshine Systems are popular just make sure you get a good spectrum. Also worth looking through this thread if you've not already https://www.autoflower.org/f138/leds-direct-china-15081.html

Thats funny, exactly the same as my new setup :D

Bysen Helios, e.shine and a Dutch Passion one in the back. Well not really cidly but they are somewhat related

Just checked out the 320W 5G from e-shine. Trying to find reviews online; that is one sexy light!

A mate of mine bought one of them and was not so happy with it I'm afraid. Some parts broke real quickly but got replaced by eshine.
This is what happened:

One of the cooling fans had dropped onto the back of the light, a plastic stiffener had snapped, the LCD was'nt working and neither was the other cooling fan.
He conacted E-shine who sent out 2 new fans and a new LCD. He changed the fan that was broken and tried the light and it did not go into bloom mode anymore.

But this was one of the first versions that came out. He bought it last year. These flaws are probably corrected already. Haven't talked to my mate in a while so don't know what happened afterwards.

Don't want to diss eshine because I really like my 3w panel, just want to give you a heads up that the early models had some issues. Don't really know if this is fixed already. Just my 2 cents here.

you or asked for advice on 5w which I have used in the past and that's what I gave you,for 3w I would recommend 45cm for veg and 30cm for bloom.

No offense intended i thought we were having a discussion.

Apologies if my response came across as blunt I'm very stoned.....to be honest my height advice is based on the power of the light more than anything 900w is a lot of LED power and even if it was 900 1w chips I would go 15cm higher than I usually do (excluding the a Rebels,if I had 900w of those I would burn a hole in the floor lol) saying that you should be able to get close when your light hanger is on.

Now I think that definately rings true for the 3watt diode LED's. But for my 5w diodes im really not so sure.

This info came in the box.

Mine is the 900W version...which says 2.5-3ft for seedling/veg and 3-3.5ft for flowering. Sort of seems counter intuitive that it lists a closer distance for veg than flower. Oh well.

Gotta go out and grab some chain this week probably get enough that i can hang them at 2ft/60cm from the top of the bucket.

Im guessing its pretty easy to recognise you're too close...for seedlings they'll probably wither and die and for plants the leaves will get burnt... definately don't want to hang too far away for optimum growth though. I have 2 900w lights and a light mover. I'm guessing it will be close to a month before 5 pots have spread enough to need more than one light on, and then longer again before they have spread enough to need both lights and the mover.

Lol, true. Glad you like it, I'm a bit of a LED head :tiphat:

Hmmm, maybe I'll go with Bysen then. That three year warranty does sound good. e-shine only offer a year. I asked them about it and they said, "Yes, but our lights are good quality."

TaNg, your GN MS0004's are doing a great job on the Auto Durban Poison's so I know you are up to giving great advice on LED stuff. If anyone had doubts about LED, then check out TaNg's grows*

Other LED's are good too. I use Prakasa. Each to their own. You gotta compare cost/quality and recommendations from people who been there n got T shirts.

* (Mine are just as poor this year) <----- Sarcasm eP.
