Same as the live help thread the High Team are looking after but more focused on LED....Hi I'm TaNg your host lol I have 2 1/2 years experience growing with LED and soil, some of the technical side of LED still baffles me but I'm sure I can help with the growing side.

Ill also be around to assist "AFN smoke out"

Hey guys :) I have a friend who can bring me a panel from China (so no shipping cost). Who should I go with? My area is around 2 x 3 and I'd like to spend $400 tops.

Bysen,Cidly and Eshine Systems are popular just make sure you get a good spectrum. Also worth looking through this thread if you've not already https://www.autoflower.org/f138/leds-direct-china-15081.html

I think if you go 60cm for veg then 45-30cm for bloom you will be fine. You will find the sweet spots over time as you dial your environment in.

Now I think that definately rings true for the 3watt diode LED's. But for my 5w diodes im really not so sure.

This info came in the box.

Mine is the 900W version...which says 2.5-3ft for seedling/veg and 3-3.5ft for flowering. Sort of seems counter intuitive that it lists a closer distance for veg than flower. Oh well.

Gotta go out and grab some chain this week probably get enough that i can hang them at 2ft/60cm from the top of the bucket.

Im guessing its pretty easy to recognise you're too close...for seedlings they'll probably wither and die and for plants the leaves will get burnt... definately don't want to hang too far away for optimum growth though. I have 2 900w lights and a light mover. I'm guessing it will be close to a month before 5 pots have spread enough to need more than one light on, and then longer again before they have spread enough to need both lights and the mover.

Thanks, I'm leaning toward the Bysen Helios series. Any suggestions on spectrum? I really only need it for flowering as I can use CFL for veg I guess. Is there stock spectrum any good?

you or asked for advice on 5w which I have used in the past and that's what I gave you,for 3w I would recommend 45cm for veg and 30cm for bloom.

lots of 660nm for bloom.
