Grow Mediums air domes ??

hi, im now making the switch from nft to auto pots (disatarous time in nft )

are air domes essential ,do they make a difference,do you grow with or without , or have you tried both ????

If you are going to get an autopot system, you will need air domes if you want the yield. Yes they work. Work well enough, I wouldn't want to do a run without em!! You can grow some nice plants without, but if you are going to buy an autopot system, get the domes, a small air pump and a small water pump to keep things moving around in the rez. A little more money up front and you will be rewarded at the end. I doubt you'd regret the added purchase. I dont have a comparison with a grow for no air domes, but this should help you realize that what you put in, you will get out!
Airdomes are very much worth it IMO.

LOL! Thank you! You can do it too! I'm ambivalent about the airdomes, I've seen definite improvement using them with some strain, yet nothing with other. I mostly don't use them because I prefer to keep things simple, that's the beauty of auto pots to me, the simplicity. The aqua valve is elegant in its simplicity! Its almost impossible for it to fail mechanically.

I suggest replacing those little yellow silicone bumpers once a year whether needed or not, they are the only part that can give you trouble.
