Yeah no doubt...it can be an overload of information!! I suggest surfing a few journals. Search for strains you are growing, fertilizers, similar lights ect and try to mimic what a successful grower does. I am mostly an outdoor grower, but I have been messing around more with indoor more lately(100X3w leds).
Have a look at the Autoflower Portal Gftshop too...a few times a year there will be sales, and when they happen there is amazing deals on seed bred by a couple of guys that deal with 24/7 chronic pain, and breed incredible auto strains.

@912GreenSkell Yeah, I've been surfing journals before I even made an actual account, haha. One of the reasons I'm starting with Dreamberry is because I haven't really been able to find much in the way of journals for it, so I figured I could help out with that. Originally I had planned to do a micro grow (35 gallon Rubbermaid tote w/CFL's & kind soil) but that went tits-up, and now I have a 3x3x6 tent and two marshydro 300w's on their way. I liked the idea of a micro grow, but the tent opens up a lot more capability both in terms of plant size/height as well as playing around with photoperiods (rubbermaid totes are a PAIN to lightproof!) so I'm pretty psyched. :smoking:

I'll keep an eye on the Portal Giftshop too. Might be broke for awhile though - about to order a 3-pack of the Brooklyn Sunrise Auto, and maybe some LSD-25 from Fastbuds, since I've had my eye on it for awhile.

OH you will do MUCH better with a pair of mars 300s than the cfl setup. I have only 34" from the lights surface to the top of the pots so I went with 3w models and they worked great. Nice choices.. fastbuds LSD is one I have had my eye on for quite some time as well.

One last thing about the portal. You can buy regular non feminized auto seeds there as well, and every order comes with many freebies(when i did an order I got over 20 free seeds which were auto non femmed, and every female I have grown has been exceptional). All too easy to keep a male until he starts to mature, cut a branch that's fairly well formed and stick it in a glass of water on a ceramic plant until the pollen sacs open. Then use the pollen to breed your own seed for free.

Yeah, the CFL's would have been a decent choice for the micro grow I had initially intended, but I knew when I decided to scrap it that I'd have to go with something different, and I just didn't feel like bothering with HPS or MH. And now I have the ability to use the CFL's for supplemental lighting o

Good to know about the portal - I'm pretty damned broke (fixed income/disability, blah) so freebies are always welcome. Especially when they mean *more* free stuff/plants.

I'll definitely give ya a holler once I get things rolling - everything should be here by halloween or the 1st. After that, it's full speed ahead!

Yeah same here...fixed income means get the deals where you can...with the flexibility of autos you could easily breed enough seed to grow forever with a $100 spent at the portal, especially on a sale. I spent $200 on a summer sale and ended up with a mountain of strains(iirc I got 12 different strains + freebies). Ended up around $2 a seed.

Hard to argue with $2 a seed! I wish I had been smart enough to just go the tent route from the start instead of trying to get that tote design to work. I spent a good chunk of change on all the bits & pieces for that, only to have to turn around and spend another good chunk on a legit setup. Such is life.

Hey...great to meet you. Check out the medical category as there is many chronic pain guys that can help you out. Strains are everything, but depending on chronic pain level you might find more relief from tincture or edibles. I do medical based smoke and grow reports on every strain I do(dutch passion category for recent ones).
Good luck on your grows, and good luck finding great strains to combat your med issues.

I dunno about skills, but I feel like my new setup will definitely let me grow more and bigger plants than I would have been able to with the setup I originally intended to work with, so it'll all even out in the end. :smoking:
