What's up guys it's been a while since I've been active here but I've been having some issues with Grape Crinkle and was wondering if anyone else has Experienced anything like this.

This is my third Grape Crinkle to do this no other plants do it. I've tried two in mephisto super soil and this one in plain roots organics because I was thinking the supersoil was too hot for her but that's not he case now.

Here's the midget

I've had a couple of midgets. 12" max but odd structure, my current is a nice plant though.

Yup, I've grown two so far and as you'll see if you look at my journal, my second one is the same flat top midget pheno yours is. My nickname for her was "flat top"
she bulked up but never got much taller. Didn't pollinate easily either, only got about twenty or thirty seeds from her and scads from the other girls. She smokes fine so I wouldn't worry about that. I tried to ask @mephisto if this was a common pheno but Mitch didn't catch the question or isn't in a hurry to discuss it, idk.

Sorry man, haven't come across a specific phenotype like it personally, nor have we had any midgets that I can remember.
However during growing, we'd cull any that weren't performing adequately long before pollinating.

Two in a row like that (to Iamlegend) doesn't seem quite right to me either, or super bad luck,

Kind regards Mitch

Sorry forgot to add, we get good consistency with GC sizes, but the flower types and formation can vary,

Kind regards Mitch

Let me ask you this how did you start the seeds and is there a possibility there could've been some taproot damage? I have seen this happen in DWC before when the taproot breaks off due to the airflow being too high. If the root cap breaks off it's like the plant looses its root "brain" and will virtually stop doing everything that we want it to do as far as growth is concerned

I can see that possibly being the case if it was just one but this is the third one to do it

I start the seeds the same way every time by dropping them in a glass of water and then when the sprout the tap root I put them in the soil. So I do handle them with my hand but I still don't see why it would be this strain 3 times and no other strains. I may just have super bad luck with them
