Indoor Auto Seeds_Pink Runtz & Acapulco Gold

DY 46
  • So then, the ladies from Autoseeds were left to their own devises for 2 weeks. They have not missed a beat, they were left trained and tied with a view to fill out the space in the tent and they did just that.

the AcapulcoGold had a lovely stretch and has bud sites up and down all he main branches. Nice lanky lady - she looks like she will fill out nicely now.

the Pink Runtz has been the more vigorous of the two which is expected, as with the AP she has not missed a beat since the start and has formed into a lovely lady with nice solid branches and bud sites all over the show! She has started showing some colour on the buds but early days still.

Their feed has been notched up to 2.0 and they look like they can take more so will push to 2.2 on next res fill. They are only receiving Bloom A&B, Calmag and yesterday got their first dose of PK9-18.
    That’s it for now

    Day 48
  • The stretch seems to be over, I must say they were both very well behaved considering I was not around to ensure they stayed in line, a few stragglers here and there but its all good.

Both the @Autoseeds.com AG and PR are in full flower mode now and are drinking a very healthy amount - after filling up the res a couple of days ago I topped it up with another 19.8litres this morning (random I know - it is the bottle size that my water comes in).
EC is now sitting pretty at 2.2 and I will not increase that, as they seem very happy and the PH changes from 5.8 to 6 over any given res change, I try to do it on purpose I tell myself as I am sure it is nothing other than utter nonsense and Bro-science but I feel I get less visible issues when the PH is allowed some minor variance (once again, my bro science goes along the lines of - various nutrients have their sweet spot when it comes to being made in an available form to be taken in correctly by the root system - therefore in my mind, when it sits at any number for too long you will inadvertently effect what the plant can consume causing issues). There is a chance I will pull the EC back a notch if there are any increased signs of leaf tip burn/yellowing but as I say I am happy where it currently sits as are the ladies.

The PR is putting on some nice new colours and I can see that the colas on this lass are going to be rather large.

She also has a lovely amount of Trichome build up at this stage, long may it continue building

The AG is a lovely plant, very slender, and a lovely green colour - true to her Sativa heritage she really has taken on teh shape of a monster DSativa but in 'mini me' form which works great for grows in tents, her nodal spacing is greater than that of the other plants in teh tent - I am very much looking forward to this beauty.

So far I am liking these two, simple to grow and they are not behaving like current day snowflake teens - the only thin g they want is lots and lots to eat and drink.

    Day 52
  • Pretty much auto pilot at the moment, the girls are drinking a very healthy amount of water leaving me adding 19.8ltrs of water every other day to the res.
Night time temps have dipped a bit over the last few nights so I added an Inkbird and radiator in the Lung room/space which is where the tent draws its air from, this rectified the matter immediately, other than that nothing to report.

E.C 2.2 - made up of Bloom A&B (Green Haze from Growth Technology), CalMag, and a healthy dose of PK 9-18 from Buddhas Tree.
P.H: 6.0 - as mentioned I do allow it to fluctuate between 6.2 and 5.8 outside of those ranges I adjust it otherwise it stays until next refill.
Temps: 23 to 27, it dipped a little below 23 earlier this week but that was for one night down at 20
RH: 50 - 65, not happy with this to be fair as they are all starting to form their buds. Based on the weather we are having I dont see it going down so I will put the dehumidifier back in the lung room to lower the humidity of what is being drawn into the tent.
    Res Temp: 22

The Pink Runtz is still growing taller very slowly, whereas the Acapulco Gold is still stretching but I would say it is also drawing to a close.
She has a lovely easy structure, I topped her once early on and trimmed her up, what is left is 7/8 nice colas with good nodal spacing, hoping for each main to be a nice long cola with minimal trimming to be done. She is picking up on her colours with some nice pink hues, i some places wavering more on the purple side but surely still more pink. The smell is coming through, and to my surprise there is a sweet shop/'candy store/
' thing going on, look forward to seeing/smelling how she progresses.

The AG is different in all way which is great to see variety - she is lanky and spaced out, she is starting to pump out her crystals and smells rather fine, I would pout the smell at fresh pine with a backdrop of hashy. After her super cropping earlier this week where 3 tall branches were bent back facing down, after a couple of days of YoYo supports they now hold their own and have lovely fat knuckles in place of the snap. The horizontal branches now have all their buds facing upwards which I do like the look of.

They do need another haircut, but I am feeling so lethargic these days that I just have not got around to a full barber shop day, they have just been having very minor trimmings o na daily just to keep them in check - need to get some vavavoom back!

She has done as expected and help fill out the empty slot that I left although that empty space has been filled by a Sawneys Hellraiser, that is in soil because the other tent had to come down and even though she was nearly dead when I rehoused her she is still there and going on.

    Day 55
  • Hello all - hope you are all well. So we are now on day 55 and they are fattening up and the sugar fairy is giving them a good dusting as well!
Well, I decided to keep their feed at an E.C 2.2, as they look happy maybe the leaves are a touch too dark but no dramas in my view.
still drinking me out of house and home and as such I have now increased fertigation as they were drinking pretty much all of what was going in and as a result the nutes were not recirculating, on a bad day the salt build up would be noticeable, so they are now running to the following:
Every 2 hours over their day they get 1,2, or 3 minutes of water. About 20 minutes over the lights on period.
    1 - 3 minutes
    2 - 2 minutes
    3 - 1 minute
    4 - 3 minutes
    5 - 2 minutes
    6 - 1 minute
And so on - this gives run off again, in theory keeping the salts away.

the temps are stable again after adding the radiator in the lung room.

The Acapulco Gold is just the ticket, nice and lanky like a good sativa. I left space next to her on the Wilma andshe has done ok in filling it out.

i have tried to mark the plants out using a yellow pen - the Acapulco gold is the plant along the bottom, with the PR top left and the Predator top right.
From the side you can see the buds forming nicely along all of the plants, a bit less on the AG but her buds really do smell nice and pine fresh.

The frost is coming - the colour on the Pink Runtz is lovely - but the frost on the Acapulco is grand, and it is still early for that one.

    Day 71
  • These two are tanking along, the Acapulco Gold is a delight in all her ways. Nice and lanky like she should be with her genetics, fantastically strong pine fruit cocktail aroma. Luckily it has no smells from the more recent weed around keeping its old school smell - I truly cannot wait for her. Every part of her is now fully coated in sugar, she has started showing calmag deficiency which is a pain as the three plants feed from the same res and the others are fine, so a touch more will do no harm...just a pain.

Leaf curl is mainly from my excessive use of fans, in the 1m tent there are 3 fans running at all times which can get gusty

Pink Runtz has started foxtailing very slightly, I will put that down to me as the light had not been moved up for a while, coupled with continuously forgetting I have responsibilities at home and gallivanting around the country and continent has in my mind led to this. All said, she is a bit of a beast, her colas are very long indeed 0 hidden by the AG so hard to get a good pick. Really nice colours and staying pink, not evolving to purple. AS with the AG the sugar coating is happy days

  • the end is drawing closer and closer. Still 10 ro so day on these. The Acapulco gold is so frosted it looks grand but it is hard to get a decent picture that shows.
The Runtz is also covered, but with teh pinks going on also very hard to get a decent sugary picture - anyway, this is as good as i can do pictures :vibe:

    Day 75
  • Nearly there - found my scope

First up is the Pink Runtz - she will come down over the next few days for sure - easy to grow, and drinks a copious amount of liquid, the EC went very high when I got a biut lazy but she carried on with no signs of anything except some very minor top burns. She has started to foxtail and throwing out crazy amounts of new white hairs, this said she is solid as a rock and the heads are pretty much cloudy all over with 1 or 2 turning brown, this is good for me.

The Acapulco Gold is a gem, lanky lady with lovely golf ball nuggets of fresh piney stink, with an exceptional crystal coating over teh whole plant. Unlike the Pink Runtz she is slightly more sensitive and starting showing some signs of calmag def, other than that she trooped along and has spread out to take up the front half of the tent. This i sone of the plants I will sneak a joint or two after drying prior to being heat sealed to cure.

You can see form above, the AG has lots of leaf curl which came about after the heatwave when I increased all the air movement in the tent - there are three monkey fans that normally sit on level one, on Monday I switched them all up to 2 and that seems to be the result - no dramas, when I get around to it I will swap them all out for a diffuser like St Tom has been testing - they certainly look like they do the job very well.

    Have a grand weekend all

    Day 77_Chop_Acapulco Gold
  • So today was the day she came down.
Lovely hash smell during chop and trim - overall a really nice lady, covered in crystal, heavier than expected nuggets from a sativa, but still lanky and a bit of effort to control - this said, with some space, she will yield a lot, all the branches a snapped down had bud standing up all the way down them making them give a lot more than the branches that were left alone.

She had a first trim, and now will sit in the drying tent at circa 20 deg and 60% RH - if the weather stays crap for a couple of weeks it will be perfect as it gets expensive using the AC to keep the room cool just to slow down drying.

    Pink Runtz
  • Now the AG is out of the way you can see the Runtz better - her Colas are rather nice, with bright orange pistils atop the pinky backdrop that is the bud.

I expect her to come down on Wednesday or Thursday.
