I found lots of DIY self watering wick tutorials, can I follow any of those? Do I just need to place the fabric pot on this thing and it waters her automatically?

I would like to grow 2 plants at a time with a 2 months delay between each other (so I would have a harvest every 2 months, right?).
I should plant the second seed in about 1-2 weeks.
Should I buy a 2 pot autopot kit with a big tank for the next seed and the one that will replace my current plant?

I cant say on the grow timing, Ive never done any if that.

But yes as long as you give your plants a good watering before hand capillary action will take care of the rest it works very well with regular fabric bags. Not so much with the rain science plastic mesh bags that I switched to. The best part of capillary action is it won't take up too much just as much as is being used by the plant or naturally evaporating. So really you could make the base as big as you want. Its just better if you have something to cover the base around the pot so it doesn't evaporate too fast. You could do that with a piece of cardboard, cut to the size of your pot and to the base like a donut. You want some air to pass through but not too much that its evaporating as much as being drawn up by the plant

perhaps use some rainpoint/tuja wifi programmable watering pumps - not too expensiove and will do the job in my setup properly.

I would like to not use any wifi/smart devices prebuilt due to their huge privacy/security issues (like any other IoT devices).
In the end I bit the bullet and bought 2x autopot flexipot XXL 35L self watering system with 47L water tank.
Reading online it looks like a good choice. What do you think?
