Harvest & Curing Boveda 62%

Could you use this, if you over dried to the point where it smells like hay? Or is that too late?
you could give it a try but i doubt it will have much effect, the hay smell means it has been dried too quickly. i think the only thing you could try now would be a water cure

Always seem to get the hay smell for some reason
I wonder if you did a water cure, quick dry then used a one of these packs how that would work

How would you re-moisten the buds after they've over dried?

If you have buds that are well past dried you can re constitute them by leaving them in a cool place in a ball jar in the dark with 1 or 2 62% Boveda paks for a period of about 2-4 weeks depending.and that is supposed to rehydrate them.the smell may lessen slightly, but I dont know enough about that,Id doubt it to be honest.it will be better to smoke though cuz of having moisture in em again.wont burn n be harsh and will taste a bit better.2 weeks in a jar with 1-2 paks is what id personally do.Hope that helps ya out man.

if I remember right the water curing will remove most all smells if done decent.Ive yet to try it myself.but that what I hear.if you say you get hay smells alot,I know I got that for a spell and I started taking my buds n jarring them a little earlier n that seemed to help me work with my dry n curing and smells n tastes n smoking..seemed to help me."AFN smoke out"

Love my paks, every time I pull out a nug my buddies think it's from a fresh harvest, taste n smell locked in for months

oh yeah, breaking up a bud by hand is almost impossible for me.its so moist it winds up smashing it if it gets to be a small piece.no meds in the bottom of the jar n smokes smooth.ya can beat em. Buds just softly snapping off the main stem n slap into a bowl, goooood stuff."AFN smoke out"which reminds me..its 4:20 some damn place right?eh,I think it is ,so it is.lets fire one up.LOL:peace:

When would you jar them up? When the stems would bend but not snap?

Does anyone know the science behind the curing process and the, well... processing, of the chlorophyll during the curing phase? It doesn't seem to make much sense that once the buds dry for the first time, that all of the smells/flavors (including those caused by a lack of cure [ie. hay, grass]) will be locked in, if it is the exposure to water (moisture) that causes the chemical reactions people seek during curing. Has anyone tried re-hydrating completely crumbly dry buds with a Boveda pack, and leaving it to cure more?
