Hi soul
A warm welcome to AFN forums :)
Lets get you started, first thing to do is start a journal, which will be your base of operations.
Your journal is the place to ask for info and help with your grow, such as your nute schedules etc.
The best place to start it will be in the new growers section of the forums, here you will find there is a higher level of traffic and where more experienced growers will swing by and lend a hand.
Let me give you a link to it, just click the link and you go straight there - New Growers Froum
Try clicking the links in my signature they will lead you to interesting and helpful parts of the forums.
What can I say , You heard right AFN is all about a friendly vibe and helping one another to grow the best we can.
Ask as many questions as you like , we all had to start somewhere too!.
I know your gonna love it here and add to the AFN vibe.
peace brother

Welcome Soul Crusher!:welcome: I think you will find everything you need from friendly and helpful souls to advice on your nute schedule. One other piece of advice I was given by Grey Bear, is to add your own spin on everything you read. Your first time growing it's probably easier to just follow blindly but if you want to find and progress different results it never hurts to back track info. Anyways, best of growing and i look forward to seeing your thread, subbed on this one. Good luck mate! :pass:

Hey Crusher,
I use Grow Big and Big Bloom, as well as CalMag. I start with water that has been set out for 24 hours (reduce chlorine and bring up temperature). For the first month, I use 1 and 1/2 teaspoon Grow Big per gallon of tap water. After one month, I go to one teaspoon Grow Big, and one teaspoon CalMag (they say add CalMag to the water first, before adding other nutes). After the plants are well into flower, I add one Tablespoon of Big Bloom to the mix.

When you water, water until you see some of it coming out of the bottom of the pots. It helps rinse a little salt buildup, and keeps PH more stable.

Make sure you have a PH meter, and check to see that your PH is where you want it in your water/nute mixture. When I water/nute my plants, I am at 6.5 or very close.

Check out some grow journals.

Welcome to the network!

Welcome Soulcrusher! This is the best place to hang out, ask questions, and learn learn learn. . maybe tell some jokes too! I am wrapping up my first grow ever, one plant harvested last night another soon to be harvested. I credit the quality of the grow to all the great folks here willing to share info and help out a long the way. Feel free to check out my grow journal. I used the GO nutes and took detailed notes on when I added them, strengths, etc.

Anyway, welcome to the party! Have fun!

Welcome welcome :welcome: soulcrusher!
You've found the place, Friend. The good Vibe is real, we want you and your grow to succeed!
X 1000 what arty said, and start that journal as soon as you can. That way you can pick some brains before you even crack a bean, and have all that info in one spot.
Soil? Or not?
Lighting? Light Cycle?
Strain?
Tools you'll need, and ones that are just good to have...
Make sure to link your grow back here so everyone can follow along, or ask and we'll link it for you.
Happy time, Brother! :woohoo:

Hey crusher,

Most of the suppliers have web sites where you can download feeding charts and schedules for our plants. You have chosen well and should end up with a decent harvest. Don't over water and do enjoy your new hobby.

welcome chum, eP.

Nice to meet you Soul. You definitely found the right place. Everyone on here tries their hardest to help. Its a great place.

I just finished my very first grow and I couldn't have done it with out these guys. I used BioBizz nutes for my grow you can check it out in my signature.

Welcome to the family brother! :bighug:
