I am curious as to what kind of branding is going on in legal states? I have not even visited a dispensery yet, but most of what I have seen on tv shows jarred bud with labels hand written or printed on a sticker on the jar.
I am just struck by lack of visible grower labeling. If my product is good, I want a branded visble label representing it. There is no doubt that bagweed grown by some people will blow away the best genetics grown by others.
I am surprised I havent seen more of what I see with seeds.
Maybe it is going on and I just havent seen it yet.

This makes me think of that scene in Spaceballs where Lone Starr (Bill Pullman) is talking to Yogurt (Mel Brooks) in his base:

Ahhh good stuff! I think (in my opinion) branding will catch up quickly as legalization and more groundwork is laid out. As distribution grows; distributors and cultivators alike will probably search for ways to stand out and distinguish themselves through branding.

The double edged part of that comes with cost: graphics costs money, packaging costs money, distributing costs money, etc etc. Personally I can do without fancy packaging and labels if means the cost stays down. Know what I mean? :coffee2: :Sharing One:

Oh I defintely understand about keeping price down.
But packaging and labeling are cheap, really cheap.
And l know if I am paying 300 to 400 an ounce without the benefit of a presmoke I prefer to know where it came from. Is it local? Is the grower growing organically or hydroponically. It makes a difference to some people.
It is just odd to me the branding of cannabis on black or open markets is almost nonexistent.
