New Grower can you LST autos?

I think soil can be just as resilient. Provided it is the right composition and density

Nice thread and thanks herbal.experience nice LST info in your sig. Cleared it up in my mind.

hey pal23 that's a good question, don't know the answer..however if you don't want to do anything that will effect the yield don't cut the leaves as that will 'increase' your yield :firedevil:

plants look great but you should do a control grow with two clones(photo) one cut one not or a million autos to see some meaningful results. other than that who knows how any plant will turn out better or worse after trimming. the buds are the fruit the leaves feed them thats why the plant grows fan leaves so large theyre the most efficient at taking in sunlight. the rgeener the growth the more it is taking in.
you can get similar/better results with less stress by just tucking leaves behind nodes and maybe supplemental side lighting etc. if trimming is adding weight it means you probably dont have enough space/light(undergrowth underlit).
nothing wrong with trimming but it is not a rule for everyone just certain situations

anyway not an attack just had to say.
that plant in post 21 is beautifull great work, whens it for the chop?

that's my plant!.. already been chopped ..9 oz. dry ...that's a product of much LST and many, many, many haircuts..I always trim! works we'll for me ...remember the plant wants to live..a farmer told me nothing can keep up with it, corn, weeds nothing will outgrow it!

great work what size pots that in? a mighty fine tubby lady.
itll grow but i would bet it would have more time and energy to focus on growing buds if it didnt have to keep making new leaves and stalks to make up for the losses. i wouldnt risk that severe a cut for fear of hermies personally and it takes a certain amount to sustain a plant and theyre there for a purpose. in cetain situations its the best option but its not a blanket rule thats all i was saying. do what works for you

okay give me a haircut 34 leaves off the top please!
