*Please note that this grow will only start in August 2013*

Thanks to everyone that has contributed to the Coco thread!!
It has given me the inspiration to do a coco grow and also the needed kick to get all the grow parameters as good as possible!

I went to the hydro store yesterday to pick up supplies and to browse!

The grow room will also be undergoing a bit of a renovation over the next few months. Stuff will be moved and any repairs will be done.

I decided that since my room is quite large and i only grow in a small section of it, i would line the walls in that section with this:

Apparently it is pretty good and will reflect up to 97% of the radiant energy!
So 3 walls will be lined and i will also make up a moveable section so that the entire grow is surrounded by the foil, should improve light quantity over the whole plant. Well that is the idea!

Everyone knows what 2 gallon square pots look like, so no picture of them!

The coco i will be using is this:

Here is a direct link to the product:

It is pre-washed and buffered and has some pretty good reviews on other forums.

For water management, namely PH issues i will be using this stuff:

And for nutes i will be using House and Garden Coco's A+B

And for the beneficial bacteria i will be using a product called Zenzyme.

Made locally in Canada the lady at the hydro store uses it and said her results were good, so i thought it would be worth a try!

Also good for drip systems, which is what this may end up being.

On that note i am still deciding on what type of system to run.
I am thinking of hand watering this first run, which will be a Dragon run.
They will be a trial run and there will be pollination happening!!!

Once they are pollinated and the males removed i will be starting a run of Tangerine Dream by Barney's Farm.

I am still thinking of building a drip system for coco, recirculate for veg and DTW for flower. That may only be in the future though, we will see!

For lighting i will be using my Bysen LED panels from start to finish.

So that is it for now!
The waiting continues...

Any tips or help would be greatly appreciated!

Good start Lazylathe - hit me up when you get this going, I'm a hand waterer so can't give any advice on drip systems, but am looking forward to seeing how this turns out ^_^

Thanks Blue!

This will most likely be a hand watered grow for the first time, still have to decide.
Trying to find some alternatives to using hydroponic trays, it is almost $100 for a 3X3 tray where i live!!!
Thinking of using some cheap under the bed storage containers that i can modify to have a drain.

Also looking at maximizing the yield, if my lights are good for a 5X5 area i am thinking that if i use a 3X3 grow tray i should get good coverage to the sides.
Still have a lot of planning to do!

:peace:

For the first run i am going to do some Duurty Dragons, pollinate them to have seeds forever!

The next run will be Barneys Farm Tangerine Dream, i think i have 5 seeds.
Also want to SCROG them and see how that works out!

After that maybe some Magic Dragons or something else from RCMC.
I really want some Durban Poison seeds though!!! Pure and not mixed with anything else!
Working with a friend in South Africa to try and score some seeds!!

Hey lazy, sorry I just saw I wasn't subbed here yet. Looks like you've got everything under control. I'm ready to see this one get Rollin. I should have my next coco grow starting around August.

Sweet!

I hope mine comes out half as good as yours!!!
This will be a whole new learning experience that i am hoping goes smoothly!

What you going to be growing Truu?

I'm sure your results will be nothing less than amazing my friend!

I will be doing a dutch passion grow hopefully. I am VERY excited about starting that one up, its gonna be some good stuff.

I wish i could start a grow now!!
Last grow was a few months ago and the itch started after the harvest!

I am going away for 3 weeks in a months time so i have to wait....

Should hopefully start building the system soon though!
