Super Sour Diesel
Hello everyone. First timer here. I had started 5 Sour Crack seeds from Mephisto about 3 weeks ago. I originally over watered and had stunted them. Sadly losing three. I used Super B foiler spray on them twice and have only done 3 nutrient feedings so far using Remo Nutrients which started about a week ago. I am using strait FFOF. I have had some brown and yellow spots forming on my first set of leaves that arised on both plants. (Not the cotyledons) and have now had some slight leaf mutations occurring. My tent temperature is currently around 80F with a humidity of 45-50. LED lights 14 inches away running 24/7. Am I looking at a defiency or maybe root rot? Any help would be appreciated.

I appreciate the quick response Simplicio and am glad to hear that. Here is a picture update from this morning. Another leaf is now bending weirdly on one of them. When I touched one it very easily cracked. For whatever reason I still can’t get passed why this is happening to them. Could it be that the new growth of the plant is leeching nutrients out of them? Also included an undershot of the leaf which appears to have a discolouration.

I'm not a soil grower, so my help is limited value.
And I'd be afraid to do foliar spraying, which might be the cause of the crisp leaves.
Often splotches on leaves are due to spilling fertilizer solution on them.
I'd stop the foliar feed and see what happens.
Sometimes raising the lights helps.

Your issue (other than the overwatering) is the FFOF. It is way too hot for autos. Happy frog is better, but FF hasn't had a great QC as of late. Was all I ran for years, dropped them almost 2 years ago now.
In something like coco, you can feed feed feed, cause there is nothing in it for the plants. In soil, especially some soils, there is already too much for the plant to eat, adding anything else, well...

The soil is something you'll have to ride out, stop all feedings except cal/mag. The soil has enough, actually too much for an auto at this stage.

She may fuss a bit, but will probably run through without too many issues if she can get on top of it.
Even in a mild soil, water only, maybe a little cal/mag first couple weeks. OF is not mild.

Try not to be concerned with old leaves that are already messed up, it’s the new growth you’ll want to focus on. If the new growth is good then you’re good to go.

Thank you for your help Arthur. I will use Remo’s MagNifiCal and will look into acquiring some coco or a lighter mix like biobizz for the upcoming girls.

Thank you as well Beerhunter CDN. I will try not to be overly focused with the older leaves; looking more into the newer growth.

Hey all. Gave them their feeding of MagNifiCal this afternoon. Came home a couple of hours later and the larger girl who just started showing her sex seems to be acting poorly to the feeding compared to her younger sister. I can’t tell if it is just from the watering or if it could be a nitrogen toxicity. I am unable to determine if they are clawing or simply drooping. Here are some before and after feeding pictures.

I don’t believe you have nitrogen toxicity, colour on the new growth looks good. How much did you water? Keep in mind that when watering we want to water around the outside of the plant not to the plant. When it gets a little larger you want to water strictly at the edges of the pot. This encourages roots to grow out in search of water and forces the seedling to develop a large root mass which in turn makes for a healthy plant. Watering is not an easy thing to get the hang of until the plant is older I find.
You can also clip the damaged lower leaves as they aren’t doing much for you. Keep it up and you’ll have her up and running in no time.

I gave the larger girl 2 1/2 cups and the smaller girl 2 cups. I will make sure to start watering further away from the plant itself and more towards the edges of the pot. When I open up the tent next I will snip off any the overly damaged leaves. Really appreciate the help.
