Dm-- always pH adjust, if you have hard water,.. I have moderately hard water, about 180ppm's, and last season while using KindSoil .... I kept the water pH below 7.0, and the pot pH's stay nicely in line all through the grow, even after having to start using bloom nutes because the P sourcing in that "supersoil" was weeeak,...!

People say boiling everclear is dangerous too but I haven't blown any up yet.

Alright....I figured it out! I have a bottle of each and based on waira's suggestion I checked the ingredient list. I'm officially throwing the Bullshit flag on the grow store guy!!!

The old calmg+ (0-0-0) list the ingredients derived from calcium carbonate, and magnesium carbonate.

THe new 1-0-0 stuff has Calcium Carbonate and magnesium nitrate. Kinda clears things up....

I pay about $30 US for a truck load of yard debris compost, or $40 for mushroom compost. My truck carries about 1.5 or 2 cubic yards. Enough for two or three inches over a 20x20 bed.

It doesn't pay to be lazy but hey, it's easy lol.
