Lighting DIY design advice - 4ft x 6ft - water cooled

That's sexy bro. I still need to finish my damn light bars. I've got 6 1812's waiting for me to finish them up

I have other easy designs that can be made in a few minutes w a drill and tap. They are cheap compared to trying cpu coolers and far more robust.

I have a thread called liquid cooled cobs that goes thru it all

I read that you mentioned simpler designs? Water cooling sounds like a recipe for disaster due to my butter fingers, hands, feet, legs, body....lol

If you have a thread for simple diy, pls tag me to your thread!

Here is my weld-less design requires a small chunk of smooth billet aluminium ,drill, drill bits, a plumbing tap and a few fittings.
Drill a hole down the middle of the block to make a water passage directly center of cobs. Use common plumbing fittings available and the corresponding tap/drill bits to plumb the block.

Where would a complete diy idiot learn more about this, bro?

It's not that hard. You only need to put some heatsink under COBs (or if you're using PCB boards you don't even need heatsink), and wire together with driver.

Haha...there are levels to DIY capabilities and I'm nowhere to be found even at the lowest pit.

I don't trust myself unless with a detailed step by step pictorial or video. Make sure i cover all bases cos i really don't know sh×t bout electricals

The ones without heatsink..are they the QB boards everyone talks about?
