Harvest & Curing drying buds... grassy slight hay smell?

Ok I chopped my white cheese down 4 days ago she is covered in frost and looks amazing. I placed her in a dark closet 68 degrees 46 percent rh and no air flow for 4 days.... I was worried about drying too much and wanted to have a slow dry process so I trimmed her colas to manageable size for 32oz jars and filled 5 of them.with her harvest..... when I open the jars to burp them its a green grassy almost hay smell... im thinking shes not quite dry yet but my digital hygrometers arent in yet (probably tom indicated by tracking#).

My question is is it hurting anything to have the buds in the jar with open lid until tom then capping to see my jar rh with digital hygrometer.... if shes still a little wet I have read A bunch in hoew to dry once I have the hygrometer in the jar with burping and curing im just worried about over drying since theres no going back.... once I get tho 62 percent I want to seal it and put away for a long cure

Also will the cure refine my smell also?

Probably should take them out of the jars. Let them air dry until yiu can break a nugget of the bottom of a cola. Then put in the jars. This is the best method ive tried.

The grassy smell means its still too moist for jars.

Ive seen your hard work so far , it can be easy to degrade your product if not dried properly. You got this, you're in the final stretch of bombness, just let the nuggs take there sweet time.


One tip i almost forgot.
At first glance when they're close to dry they will smell yummy, then when they are fully dry that smell will kinda hide for a bit until the jars bring it back.

Thanks for the tips man... I had then in the jars for 8 hrs last night bit the lids were not on I placed them in a drying rack this am and this evening hopefully my digital hygrometers will be in

That should do the trick.

One trick i found that will moisten up crumbly, overly dry weed is i place it on a 2x2 metal screen (top of a snake tank) then I Bring it into the bathroom and crank up the hot water, steaming up the bathroom fully and this only takes a couple minutes to gently re moisten the herb.

Yep she is jared up and curing in the closet.. I rolled the wife a j before placing it all away.... for no cure she says it was suprisingly smooth and helped her back pain tremendously with no headache later..... on some other strains it helped he symptoms but she developed a headache later so hopefully this will be a good inr for her seeing we have enough to last lol

Im glad it helped,thats the organic side of it man.just remeber to open her up for about a week or a lil less give or take for just a cpl minutes and shake the jar to get a touch of fresh air in there and shut her back up. do that for a few days about twice a day for roughly 4-6 days.that'll help whats falling off to escape and not taint your buds albeit slightly tainting it will make for a smoother bud over the course of a cpl months youll see then after that the long sleep lol
