New Grower Dutch Passion Polarlight #2 grow

So I am new here and this is my first grow. I will post some pictures tomorrow but I thought I would describe my setup to start with. I have 2 Polarlights currently growing, started on 2/8. I started 3 but lost one.

1. Using a Hydrohut 4x4 Tent in my garage.
2. Lumatek 600w MH/HPS digital ballast
3. Sun Pulse 600W 4k at the moment
4. 5 gallon Smart Pots
5. Pro-Mix BX
6. GH Flora Series
7. Technaflora Magi-Cal
8. Tap water run through a charcoal purifier and with ph set at 6.0

Do you have a dimmable Ballast by chance?just curious since Im gettin a digital dimmable ballast and I was curious at to what setting(s) you use to start out with is all.Sounds awesome my friend.pop up some pics if you get the chance to do so,I (and many others) would really dig seeing them.be good brother!Happy Growing!

Hey Dude, yes my Lumaktek is dimmable. I started the beans out in 5" peat pots under a pair of 2' flouro tubes 24W each for the 1st two weeks. They were about 4" tall and showing their second set of true leaves before I put them under the MH. I had it set at the true 600W and they were about 24" from the tops. I also have a small clip on circular fan that was blowing over the tops of the plants. Actually, with the 600W light I haven't used a heater much at all and I haven't vented the hood yet. It is keeping the temps in the 70's with just the light going and the lower and upper panels on my tent open. But it hasn't gotten warm here yet either. Hope that helps!
