Hey SG, doing good just waiting on some buds to dry. I checked on them yesterday and they are still pretty moist. My wife tried some out and said it was very clean, no harsh bite with a smooth slightly fruity taste but I am waiting on the cure for the flavor to really pop. I don't smoke much, maybe once a week, so I am not in that big of a hurry. Have you tried yours yet?

I sent one guy your way, hopefully you didn't mind. He was asking about the PL and I told him mine were pretty much screwed from the beginning. You seemed to have the numbers dialed in on the nutes so I figured you were the best one to ask. While my harvest was substantial, had I not screwed it up I believe it would have been much better. Also, I never did seem to get the aromas you were talking about. Mine had a slight smell but nothing at all to write home about. Still, as they are drying, you have to get right up in them to notice any fragrance and then it is just a slight piney/minty almost like herbal smell. Very hard to pin down, definitely doesn't smell like any weed I have smelled before. Not overbearing at all.

Anyways, that is me. Just waiting on the photos now. How goes it with you?

yes, i did the first smoke on saturday after 8 days of curing. the buds still look wet (although they are not) and are very fluffy, due to the heavy resin on it; they are dripping with resin. it's the most amazing bud i ever tried (i also don't smoke very much), but time will improve the taste and smell for sure.

here's my review; check it, if you like.

you know that taste and smell always is very subjective, so everyone has her or his own impression of things...

i also could have done a little better; the nute change in flowering threw me back for sure. but things got quite satisfying in the end. after a nice cure yours will also have a mouthwatering smell.

yeah, i met this guy and confirmed him my still noobish help for his very first grow; of course i do so.

here in sativa town things are still pending. saved me a colormix of the DP 420 promo, but this will take some more time before they go into the soil.

i'm curiously following your photo grow.

Dry weight.......

Well from 973 wet to 258 dry. Regardless, I am quite pleased with my first grow. Could it have been better? Of course, I screwed just about everything up I could but at the end of the day I still have some pretty nice buds that will last me and the wife quite a while.....and make the local dealer quite unhappy now that we have quit.

This grow was pretty much a testament to Dutch Passion. When a newbie grower with absolutely no experience and good seeds and good advice can reap just under 10 ounces from 2 auto plants that speaks volumes about their genetics. Thanks all for following along, thanks for the forum, thanks for the assistance. I am quite pleased to say I have found an anonymous home.

Job well done, mate! :D  Rep+!

 Thanks Squid, AFN knows how to make someone feel welcome. I am truly sincere when I say thanks to all, I couldn't have even done it without this forum.

They finished at 67 days? Bad. Ass. :D

holy sh*t, bro! that's a massive yield! :jaw:

good genes are more than half the battle. even a total noob can grow awesome weed, if he has got good seeds.

:beast:

Thanks SG. Yeah, I was pretty stoked as I was clipping the buds. When I first considered growing I thought if I could get 2-3 oz off this grow I would be ecstatic. That will last my wife and I at least 6 months. Couple that with the White Widow and Strawberry Cough in the tent now and I am done for the year. After that, my guess is I will begin to dabble in using colloidal silver to get some female seeds and grow out several different varieties that I would like to collect seeds from.

nice to hear that you are making plans for new things. on and on...
so, if you pollinate buds and treat them with cs, they produce female seeds? that sounds cool!

since i do grow mushrooms, i started reading about growing in coco, which is technically hydroponics.

...but i will stay with soil for the next grows; foolproof!
