ive been growing with organic liquid nutes for a while now and supplementing with Epsom salts for magnesium. Each grow recently I’ve been experiencing what I thought was K def but could as easily be mag def. I’m feeding Epsom salts at 1tbsp per gallon every watering as that’s what I thought was correct but there is a lot of misinformation / contradicting advice around dosage.

Am I giving too much Epsom salts/ too often?

every watering sounds like too much unless they are flowering maybe, but if they are smaller and not quite rooted out its a build up.the plant cant take in that much with a smaller root system. pics tell the story man. but thats my guess right off

Light color between veins ---> Mg deficiency
Light color on tips ---> K deficiency

I think they're easy to spot as they're different...?

Not always that easy in my experience. What do you reckon mag or K
Above pic.

have you used a surfactant to help it fill the pot better with said food(s)? that sometimes helps when its heavily rooted and water isnt soaking up as well. I would try a cal mag personally.but I mention PH just due to the fact if your using less Lime for example in the stabilizing mix it'll wobble a lot more than it should lending to issues that are overall smaller than necessary imho. but id go with cal mag personally then the next watering if it lessens hit it with a bloom.but again depending on when last you ht it with these things man. foods sometimes builds up also lending to a shift in medium PH. but overall I would wait for Waira. hes the man when it comes to these sort s of things man.soil organics and bottled organics are vastly different. but thats what Id do broham, then within a few days or so hit it again with some bloom.dont forget the surfactant castile soap, aloe flakes probably liquid too but unfamiliar with dosing that.

Every watering sounds high to me too, but I've given up on using Epsom for anything other than follier feedings now.

Not that I noticed any real adverse effects, but we get so focused on how much of this and that, felt the Epsom was just a big guess.

Works well as a follier tho.

exactly,zI thought the same thing. but thats why I mention the surfactant thing. more flowering usually means less uptake depending on watering patterns. lol yeah floiar is the way man. lots of work though. I rarely use it myself. always a cal mag or a water only syate, so I dont have to add anything other than a tea lol most everyone here would know more than me on this topic no doubt. what it 5 years or so with no bottled feeds of anything..?lol I saw ole orchid man pop on so maybe hell shine on us like a crazy diamond lol
