Howdy, I'm a complete beginner. For a number of reasons, I'm looking to grow the fastest possible crop in a 2'x3'x6' cabinet.

What about 6 plants in 4 gallons buckets? If I pick fast flowering strains, what could I do to harvest in the shortest possible time?

I'd like to harvest 4 oz, growing for one person. First mmj grow but I'm an experienced gardener, although it's all been outside.

Honestly I think a very fast photo strain would be best. The fastest one I can think of flowers in about 55 days so if you started your plants on 12/12 lighting then they would be done in that time. The yield would probably not be very good but if you're looking for the fastest I think that's it. Another option could be starting autos on flowering nutrients as soon as you are able to feed them(usually around day 14 depending on soil). I think the autos would give you a little better yield but would take an extra week maybe 2

From my experience and reading photos wont flower until they reach a certain age. I started photos 12/12 from seed ( 2 seed flats worth) and they didnt show any signs of flowering over about 4 weeks when I chopped them. The rule I have heard and experienced is if there are no prelowers at the nodes/ branches it isnt ready to flower. On the large grow sites there countless 12/12 from seed grows by noobs. Ive never seen an exception.

Light intensity for fastest growth, proper temps an humidity and not stunting them from irregular light periods, to much or to little nutes and adequate ventilation to keep CO2 available.

Why wouldn't photosensitive strains start to flower if they were on 12/12 lighting? Maybe the seeds you had weren't female but I would think after 4 weeks of 12/12 they would've at least shown their sex.... Sounds weird to me dude all my photo strains have shown pistols within 2 weeks of switching to 12/12

Its like puberty in humans. A photo strain builds vegetative growth before it flowers. If photos could be flowered from seed, and ripen faster than autos, there would have been no need to develop autos. Autos also have a vegetative period it just lasts a week or two. Every green plant I know of from onions to my banana tree have a time frame of vegetative growth before flowering. the three times I grew, 1 perpetual harvest indoors and 2 outside my males stretched and showed sings of flowering before the females most of the time.

Ive seen dozens of 12/12 from seed and flowering takes between 3 & 4 weeks before preflowers/stretching happened. Do you have a grow log on jere of flower development before 3 to 4 weeks? Not preflowers at the nodes but flowering?
