Indoor Fed up with bagged-need to make my own soil

My last few auto grows have been plagued with stunted, under-performing, nutrient burnt plants.

I've always used nutrient-rich bagged soil like Dr. Earth and for the most part it's worked fine, especially with conventional cannabis plants. It's rough on the strains of Auto I like to grow so I switched to Ocean Forest because the Dr. Earth was burning leaves and the OF is even worse!

I'm going for a simple mix of Peat Moss, vermiculite, perlite and compost. I'll use Biobizz Grow and Biobizz Bloom as nutrients.

I don't know compost at all; can someone explain and tell me exactly what it is I need?

Grab a bale of promix bx or sunshine #4 and call it a day! I used of for a while and what I would do would fill pot with OF than grab a fist full out and in place put LW do the seedling would start off in soil that wasn't so hot.... If no LW you could take said amount you wanted of the OF and rinse several times to try and flush it some to make it less hot.... Best of luck!

I use Sunshine #4 with no problems. I add a touch of dolomite lime just cuz. Started growing with ocean Forrest and it gave me problems too. Sunshine all the way baby!!! Never used promix, maybe on my next run.

LOL I got ya bro NP we will fix your wagon..First your soil is good just Hot..with my TLO mix or any mix its key to water it with molasses for 35-45 days 1nc a week first before use..add myco hurds to compost your soil..and you are all good..check out Xs TLO for dummies..also OF/HF fox farm mixed 50/50 will do the trick shouldn't need to feed till bloom..so pick one and run with it LOL..simple Ill help ya with simple LOL:High 5::smokebuds::tiphat:

Briman, what would I need to add to Sunshine Mix #4? Would Biobizz Grow and Bloom be appropriate?

Doobie, I'm not sure what in your instructions would reduce the heat in my -I don't really understand the jargon yet.

Fox farm Ocean forest and fox farm happy frog mix them and add some d-lime and maybe plite and you are good..your soil you have now needs to be cooked//ie sit for 30=35 days while water 1nc a week with molasses..and add myco ..hurds is what you need to break down the food in the soil for the plants and make it cool off.The molasses will feed the mycos and make the plants happy.iggy Hug:
