New Grower First grow starting this week - 1xNirvana Blue Mystic 1xNirvana Short Rider

That has turned out to be my solution as well....volunteers to run the flush :)

More pictures...last set sucked. Mostly these are of the 2 blue mystics --the are almost identical plants - Day 41. Only the very last picture is the short rider, it is growing nicely but no flowers yet Day 34.

They look great ...

day 42, day 35

Hi everyone. Been a few days since I updated my journal. I've got a post in the sick/infirmary section related to some leaves that started yellowing at the bottom. Initial thoughts from Chester was maybe they were hungry...He may be right. Thanks Chester!... Anyway, I had just watered them, so waited until tonight to give a huge feed. It was a big jump actually to the actual recommended amount. 15ml per gallon of Buddha grow and 15ml of Extreme Serene. No molasses tonight. I couldn't find them. Probably in my pantry or something. Fingers crossed the plants don't react negatively to the buffet they had tonight.

So they are in their stretch for sure...it is hard to believe, but I am not exaggerating, in 24 hours one of the Blue Mystics grew at least 1.5 inches. It grew right into the light...last night it was about 2 inches away and I thought tonight would be the night to move it....too late. It burned the tip of what i believe will be my main cola. I ended up pinching off the burned tip. To me seemed it left a smaller wound to heal. Who knows.

The 2 blue mystics are about 12-14 inches tall. The short rider is close to 12. Today is day 42 for the blue mystics and day 35 for the short rider.

Now for the photo update. Please take a look and advise on anything you see that might need attention! The third picture is the clipped bud..sucks but what can you do.

:peace:out

Lookin' good SB ... That first pic is in full bloom ... :Sharing One:

Watch them carefully to see how they take to the added nutes ... might want to back off a little on the Grow to 1.5 tsp/g and 3/4 tsp/gal of Serene ... up to you ...

yeah I may have gone overboard..was so freaked out that they could be hungry! They look great tonight. grew another inch. No new yellow leaves. got to raise my lights again! I guess it's a daily thing during stretch.
I've ordered a ph pen that will arrive on Monday so will be able to check my ph. next water. My original device seems struck on 7.5. for everything. It is crazy how some people say ph and organics don't matter and others say it does. I'm going to go with the cautious dude and try to get it right. thanks for always looking Chester.

I think I'd water w/o nutes the next time or two ... just a drink not a drowning ... :dance2:

Blue Mystics day 43, Short Rider day 37

Its been a while since last post. Thanks to anyone who stopped by. Its been crazy busy with summer fun and trying to get my day job completed - I work from home and have been on a big project lately....Anyway, my plants are hanging in there. One blue mystic is 20 inches and is no longer stretching, One Blue mystic is 18 inches, and the Short rider is about 16 inches. I have switched every thing to bloom, I don't want them to get any bigger. The temp. is perfect 75 mostly. Not a lot of heat in there with the doors propped open a bit and good fans going in there. Humidity is good I think, its around 50 -55 generally. Finally got my ph meter and tested. My soil ph is about 6.7 I think...here is what I did, maybe someone can tell me if I got this right. My tap water is 7.4 ( i do age about 5 days prior to using it). Run off from 7.4 tap water was 7, so based on things I have read, that means the soil ph is a few points lower than the run off, so I believe my is approx 6.7 or 6.8. The reverse was my nutes went in at 4.5 and came out at 6.3, so that means the soil ph is a few points higher also 6.6, 6.7 range. So I think that is an ok ph.

Another thing you may or may not recall is about a week and a half ago, I burned the main cola tip when it grew 2 inches in in 24 period. Well I pinched off the burned part, now there are 2 flowers. I will show it in a picture. Looks pretty cool. In the pics I see some frost starting...I'm hoping they can get to maturity with this yellowing leaves issue. Both Blue mystics have it , not the short rider yet. I have picked about 7 leaves off of one and 6 leaves off of the other as they turn completely yellow. So why still yellowing leaves? I think they need some nutrient that I am missing. I am not using the full line of roots organic nutrients. The guy at HTC told me I just needed Buddha Grow, Extreme Serene and Buddha Bloom, so thats all I bought. The acutal roots organics line also include Trinity, Ancient Amber, HP2, HPK and Oregonism. So I wonder if I NEED all that other stuff? Any thought would be appreciated.

I hate yellowing leaves ... but it doesn't look like you have an extreme amount. I'm not seeing burned tips so I'd continue feeding like you're doing and make sure it gets enough 'N' ... I've had plants finish that you'd swear were albino for the last 3-4 weeks yet they produced a decent harvest of quality buds ... they look great to me ...
