Indoor First Grow - WOS Northern Lights x Big Bud Auto (Homemade Stealth Cabinet)

Hi everybody...
This is my first grow and my first post here.
Hoping to gain knowledge and wisdom...Jah bless.
Just some info on this grow

Strain is World of Seeds Northern Lights x Big Bud Auto

I'm using a hydro setup in a homemade cabinet (pc fans for ventilation)

Grow Space is 30in wide 20in deep and 48in high

Just using GH FloraNova for nutrients so far (more ordered on the way)

Oh yeah lights are 6 CFLs in a homemade box with a light shield (20/4 on/off) but soon to be changed out for a 140watt LED...

My goal is to see how much quality herb i can grow with minimal energy consumption.

Any tips and advice or question are definitely appreciated @ this point...Thanks!

The photos show this plant @ around day 35 from seed...she seems to be doing okay, but I really have now real experience yet so just going with it.

Hoping for the best...lol:thumbs:

Btw forgive the shabby non painted walls:no:...still trying to get some mylar or something...lol

Awesome man. I have the same strain growing. Ill post new pics tomorrow. Mine looks much different. Ill keep an eye on yours here. I'm curious to see how it matches up. They say its a 55 day strain, but she seems way behind for that on my end. Anyway, cheers man, and good luck!

Update - New LED added and Plants moving!

Yesterday I received an Led Lamp i ordered...One day later and I can see a noticeable difference in the plant's!

I have some photos showing when i first put the LED yesterday, and then some photos today...I can see the entire plant "perk up" toward the light!
the first 2 photos are from when the LED was first put into the cabinet. the photos following are from a day later...cool to see the plant move up toward the light.

Also got some carboload in the mail and added it to the nutrients...

And I taped up some more white paper to get a bit more light reflectivity lol.

Also got a power meter from Amazon.com and took a reading...the entire cabinet uses a total of 136watts...(Light, 4pc fans, and air pump).

Day 45

The Plant seems to be doing really well...she's been blooming much stronger with the led in place.

She's almost filling the entire grow space...this is a good thing but I kinda wish I had more vertical space for growth.

Any advice?

did you top this plant early on? i'm kinda blown away by how many top/branches you've got on this one auto. also what is her size now. you seem to be doing fine for your first grow, congrats and taking the steps to create your own cannabis and welcome to the LED growers club.

What brand of light is that? there are a couple of makers using that design now

also if you really want your plant to focus on flowering her tops you might want to snip off some of those very bottom branches / budsites they will only make tiny popcorn bud and take nutes away from your main sites

No I didn't top the plant...she just grew out like that...I did have her under cfl's in a homemade light box, that may have made her branch out wide.

She's about 3ft tall and 2ft wide.

The light is a Penetrator X-Pro...I bought from Aliexpress.com...This is the same light as the Hydro Grow Led Brand used by Seymour Buds (I really didn't want to use hps after seeing how big his grows were with those Leds) BUT much cheaper direct from China...I almost bought it from Hydro Grow but discovered alot of "buyer beware" info on them...Glad i didn't and found the same lights for WAY less elsewhere.

She's been droppng some of her weakest bottom leaves...I did trim some of her bottom branches that looked really weak...Thanks for the advice, I think I'll definitely trim more of those weak little bottom sites knowing they rob her nutrients from getting to the best budsites.

Plant tops have reached the lights!

I don't know if this is a good thing or not.

Just added mylar to the walls...looking nice n brite inside now...and more pro too..

As for the plant reaching the top of the grow space...
Does anybody have any suggestions? I don't see anything i can do about this now. the plant tops are now crowding under the light.

Also leaves that are very close to the light are curling up, but leaves further away look fine.
