Old Reviews Good oil rigs/vapes, cheap???

[h=2]Hey the groff

I've not had the Arizer Solo myself but I do own several portable vapes and each has a different techniques to get the best from each unit.

I'm sure some Solo users will be able to give you some hints and tips but I though in the mean time I would post this advice on using the Solo from

Vaping Technique[/h]To load the Solo it’s best to put your stem into the upside-down unit, and then flip it once it’s secure. The first time can be difficult as the glass appears not to fit, but warm it for a few cycles and it’ll become easier. I tend to start on setting number 2 (185c), as that’s the lowest temperature at which the cannabinoids boil. A few deep (slow, for 8-10 seconds) draws at that level and then I move up to the next. As with any type of inhalation, there’s no need to keep it in your lungs for more than 5 seconds, as it has little added effect. All in all I would say that I tend to get around 10 draws from a full chamber.
The chamber itself is relatively small, but this helps us not overload the vape and waste our product. I find that a full chamber can range from 0.05g to 0.1g, depending on a number of factors, including how damp the weed is, to how tightly it’s packed. I tend to sprinkle weed into the chamber and then tap it until it drops into any gaps. Avoid squashing it down with your fingers or you’ll experience poorer air flow. I’ve found that there are certain sweet spots when it comes to generating vapour. If you inhale whilst slowly turning the stem, you’ll notice the noise changes as air whizzes through. The more of a ‘whoosh’ sound you hear, the better the chance of getting a good draw with less resistance.
Ensure that the Solo has stopped flashing and is at the required level before you attempt to draw vapour. It’s very fast to warm-up, but it’s easy to get caught out, especially if it has just turned itself off automatically (which is does every 12 minutes), so keep your eye on the LED display. If you wish, you can remove your stem between use; many people claim this stops waste. At most this would be just a little waste, but it’s waste nonetheless.

[h=2]High Efficiency Mouthpieces[/h]Before I’d purchased the Solo I was already aware of a number of specialist mouthpieces which were aimed at improving airflow. Apparently the original stems can require quite a lot of suction to produce vapour, although I haven’t tried mine since I went straight for the Turbo, which you can buy very cheaply here. The difference is that it comes with just a gauze, rather than having several cut-out pieces from a solid piece of glass. It’s estimated to improve airflow by 30%, and I’ve found it works perfectly for me.
If you want to save the expense, I recommend getting the standard kit and purchasing the Turbo piece later, if you find you’re dissatisfied with those provided by Arizer. Whichever you choose, I would recommend that rather than grinding material so fine that particles come up the mouthpiece (a problem even on the Turbo, and worse with the original stems), you tear bits off by hand and drop them in the chamber. It’s slightly messier, but it stops pieces being so small as to get through the holes and into your mouth. However, this does diminish the hit you receive, so if the particles aren’t an issue, stick to grinding.

I think you may have a bad heating element Groff. I have purchased two of these, the first for my wife and when I tried hers I bought one for me.

Is your flowers coming out with a slight brown tinge to them? And are you getting any flavor when you inhale? I run mine around 3 and my wife runs hers at 6. My flowers come out little pale and hers comes out kind of brown. I would assume if your element is bad you may not be getting enough heat building up and your flowers would still come out green. That is just a guess as I can't think of anything else that would go wrong with them. Maybe the Oring isn't in the hole and you are getting a lot of external air and nothing through the unit?

I'm loving the Flowermate V5.0s. This is the selective heat model retails around £100 and the single heat model is about £80.

This is a herb only vape.

The unit is a nice size and fits in my jeans pocket nicely, it looks a little like a small hard drive apart from the fact it has "flowermate" printed on it. Personally I would prefer it to not have the name on it thus making it more stealthy.

It was my choice as a replacement for one of my faulty Puffit 2's. Vapefiend knidly offered this for inconvenencing me and it was £14 more than I paid for the Puffit 2 and it was sent express nextday delivery before 1PM too :) so win win there.

At the moment it is my go to portable vape it has a 2Hr 40Min battery life , I only vape in the evenings and a single charge lasts me for days, 3-4 days easily and I still haven't had it run out unexpectedly before I charge it.

In the review they mention this is a good vape for an ex-smoker and I would agree on the top setting (No.3) it will put out serious plumes of vapour but is a little tickly for me.
I usually use on heat setting No.2 which still has quite a robust vapor, at heat setting No.1 the vapor is lighter and has more of the terpine flavours coming through.

It now comes with a borosilicate glass mouth piece as well as the original silicone mouth piece, which I still haven't even tried yet (I like the glass). In the mouth piece there is a solid metal screen with what I can only imagine are small laser drilled holes. This screen is so much better that metal wire gauze and will easily last the life of the vape and comes with two spare screens.
The mouth piece stores in the vape behind a sliding door, this I like.

There is also a tool for tamping and removing your weed, I really like this tool, it is small but very sturdy, not at all wirery like some other vape tools. One moan here is the tool can not be stored inside the vape or be attached to a key ring unlike my Indica 2 tool.

I really am enjoying it and I have had no issues with it.

I would rate it 9/10 partly due to the fact I would have like two more heat settings and that you can't store the packing/emptying tool with the mouth piece.

If there is anything I have missed out or you would like to know just say the word.

Great review, thank you! I've got it on my list right after the Titan 2! ( Which I may get today )

Really looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the Titan II pop and how you find the vaping experience when using it.

It will be a couple of weeks before I order mine, so It will be great to hear what you think.

I was thinking heating element also. I know for a fact that desktops like the Extreme Q make 5 times the vapor of a handheld. Yet my Iolite can get me VERY stoned, so something is wrong with that unit. I'd contact the company, just don't tell them your vaping weed in it...lol

I'll definitely review it after testing. I have to say though, the Vapor Blunt would be my go to unit so far, if it wasn't so big, and looks like a dildo....used in public could get you some odd looks...LOL!:Sharing One:

Vaping Technique

Yeah, it all come out brown. I read somewhere that people highly enjoy eating the browned plant matter, and indeed its quite tasty. Too the advice to add it to yogurt and it absolutely delicious.

Thanks for the input!

Thanks for the ABV {Already Been Vaped) suggestion the Groff, I have recently been wondering what to do with mine and I have OZ's of the stuff.

I was think of making cannabutter with it or even doing a BHO run, but popping it in some yogurt sounds good to me :)

Just wondering what all the other vapers do with their ABV?

Never vaped before, but I will be doing it soon, and I'll most likely be using the Titan II. Is there a temp setting that works best? What determines the temp setting that you should choose?

In a multitemp device, its up to you really. I sometimes start in a low setting, this is where you get the most taste, as the vapor is mostly terpenes. If all you want is max vapor, crank it up to high. I sometimes like to work up thru settings on devices that have 3 or more.
