New Grower Grow build (my first)

Hey guys,

Here is a few pics of my first build. Old mini fridge running a 120mm of fan at 44cfm exhaust fan and a 80mm at 26cfm intake fan. My box only measures about 12 cubic feet, so air flow should be fine. M

y question is carbon filter will the carbon filter pads work or are they to small? Also lighting I'm gonna run 3 CFLs 2 6500k and 1 2700k. But my only true concern is the carbon filter and keeping the smell contained.

Nice micro grow box. I did one in a tall PC case once, that was similar. I assume you plan on a single plant in there, so I would first use something like an "Ona block" or "Ona gel". I think that would be strong enough, and less energy and noise. In one grew I've used a single Ona gel for two plants in a tent, all you could smell is just fresh linen smell everywhere

I may try that if you think it will work, and yes single plant setup maybe double but I dont think it will be big enough for that. do you really think ona gel will be enough for even a pretty dank plant. atm im gonna grow candy cane but wanna plan for the worst. and can i get ona at my local homedepot or order it online.

Those carbon filter pads will NOT and do NOT work. if stealth is an issue for you you will need to rethink the set up.

In the case of a pretty dank plant, I'd invest into a "The Neutralizer Kit". There is a compact version that you can either hide inside or real close to the vent exit. Both the ona and this one is available online, don't know about homedepot.

No I doubt there is any point in having two plants in there. Height is so limited, I think the only option would be to do a micro scrog, combined with a flat pot. Something like these:

That last pic is the craziest SCROG I have ever seen. That is too cool.

Look for strains that are bushy. My Red Dwarf I am growing now would be great for topping or SCROG and produces good.
