New Grower hay smell

hi my last grow , when i harvest my buds smelled
like hay, what is the deal with the hay smell and taste,
could anyone give me any info on this please

How did you dry it? What temperature? Humidity? Light on or off?

That happens if you dry it too quickly or at too high temperatures. However, it could just need curing as the flavours don't really properly come out/develop until the buds have been in glass jars for at least a month.

Yeah it sounds like your buds were dried too quickly. You want them to dry as slowly as possible without risking mold then jar and cure.

It's just been dried too quickly. This happened on my first few grows. I think it's something about the chlorophyll taking around 14 days to fully dissipate from the plant. I'm no expert by the way, just had a quick read and that's what I found. One way around it is to hang the whole plant when drying, just take the larger fan leaves off.
