New Grower Help I'm still a noob!! DP 'Think Different' under LED... Hopefully.

Hey AFN folk...

Havn't posted any updates for a few days...
Well not much to tell really.. I broke my delicate blue lab glass ph probe on the edge of a glass of water.. Wasn't watching properly as I was inserting it to rinse it.. Raging to say the least... So all I have in the ph meter department is a hmm 2yr old cheapie meter... Luckily I had just measured my ph with the blue lab before smashing it... So I took the ph straight away with the cheapie meter then to reveal it was reading high by .2.
So I'm just not risking giving my girls a fresh res until I can be sure the ph is correct.
New blue lab ph probe & a new cheapie on the way as well as back up.. I have a fresh res made up & set the ph & it's bubbling away in there... I'm just not taking any chances, I'm sure my girls will be ok in their old res for a day or two yet...

Pics day 29...

& the other one...

There that should do it..

As you can see I'm well behind where I should be for day 29 :( but at least I now seem to have them happy, green, growing up & down & they're even flowering like mad :)... Would actually like them to cool their jets a bit until there bigger but hey.. they are my first ever flowers so I'm not gonna complain now am I...

L8rs peeps.

Tell me this folks.. You see the way my girls are standing to attention.. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1338921185.711376.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1338921211.585895.jpg
&
ImageUploadedByTapatalk1338921240.858679.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1338921259.499898.jpg

Now to me they look like they are loving life in there.. Standing upright & leaves spread out soaking up the light... But to a more experienced eye they might look like I'm overdoing it on the nutes & that's why they are stretched up like that.. & before anybody says it ... My lights arn't too far away.. So what do you lot think.. I think they look great but remember I'm a noob & know jack sh# t.

Any advice very welcome

Oh & before I forget... Everyday after about 14-15 hrs light my plants seem to deflate?? As if they've had enough/tired/droopy?? So I turn the lights down a bit until lights out.. Then next morning after they've slept there right back up at it again?? Is this normal?? Anybody... Maybe its the LEDs? They are pretty intense like!.. Great having the 4 units & being able to up & down light intensity as I see fit :)... Anyways what you think guys?? Standing upright & straight to attention for 2/3rds of the day then droopy for the last 1/3?? Whats that about??
I'll take a droopy pic later on when they get er... Droopy :)

looking better whats your humdity like?
i doubt its intensity with leds

Yeah.. Humidity seems ok.. in around 50%.. Always between 45-60%... It doesn't seem to be doing any harm.. It's just puzzling.. Looks worse than it is.. So it seems anyway.. It's normally around now when they start to droop.. I've just checked them & they're still up for it :)

Cheers Agito..

Yeah 57% RH in the tent..

Droopy... Not as bad tonite but still droopy..

Like I say.. They have been worse the past few nights.. They're probably further down by now.... But as I've said when I go in tomorrow they'll be up a raring to go...

Hopefully ;)

Next morning... & they are up & mad for it again ha ha... They actually look like they are trying to reach the lights!!

See what I mean!!
This is actually the most I've ever seen them stand straight up!!... Def seem happy in there.. But maybe someone else 'Thinks Different' if so please let me know.

Cheers AFN. :)

I think with your recent root issues you did not have enough quality root mass to support large plants but now the roots mass is increasing the drooping has slowed. You still need to cool the res to keep o2 at root level up by adding silver foil to the lids to reflect the heat

Yeah Agito... I have a 60L per min pump split 2 ways so 30L per min in each res... So no worrys there about o2 at the roots... I tried to put some foil over the tops of the buckets but I just found it getting in the way & annoying so I took it off again, I always keep my res temp between 16-20c with bottles of frozen water swapped in & out as & when needed anyway, so worrys on that front either...

Cheers

Thats good to hear i mentioned the res temp as water can only hold more o2 at lower temps for example if your res was say 25c it would not matter if you had a 100 pumps at that temp the water can hold very little air and you would get rot as the roots dont use oxygen from the pump its disolved o2 in the water. Disolved o2 is relative to solution temp but you cant go to cold or you stunt the plant

dont forget to heavy bleach after this grow as ive run into big problems in the past with systems that have had root rot prior
