Sick set up Kush and you have done way better than I did with DWC,I just couldn't keep the temp of the res down when we had are 2 week summer here in the UK and ended up with THE ROT lol was amazed with the growth I saw though. Can't wait till autum to try again,stickin with my Airpots till then. Oh and subbed back acha.

Ok folks here's a quick update for all y'all

My were given their 2nd bloom res on Sunday...

For some reason I can't get the pH to settle?? It just keeps rising?? Also my EC keeps rising as well?? Is that a sign that my solution is too strong?? I set it at 1.4 but it keeps creeping up, I watered it down slightly last nite but it's crept up again overnight?? Any advice peeps?? Leaves clawed down ever so slightly..

Is there any no no's of what not to mix up together in a hydro res?? Apart from h202 & cannazym. Like I've got carbo load & superior potash for bloom boost, Can they go into a res with a dedicated bloom booster?? Or should I just use one or the other. Do you know what I mean??

Can anybody explain to me a simple way of working out my NPK ratios of my feed solutions? How do I add it all up to come to a rough NPK figure?? Coz at the mo it's pure guess work on my part!! I don't think guess work & hydro go that well together Lolz :-/

Here's a little word of advice from me would you believe.... If like me you decide to grow with LED lights..in hydro.. With a low background EC (.1) to start with.... Don't not start without cal/mag!! My plants are an interesting colour... Green with more than a splash of bright copper throughout as you'll see. I think it was from a major cal/mag def early on in veg & then another one which I caught on as I noticed the leaves getting patchy. Honestly I've used quite a bit of sensical in my latest res.

lower the ec to 1.2
don't think about adding stuff as you dont have the system dialled in
root rot will cause ph/ec to be unstable as well

you dont start hydro at 0.1 ec it needs to be allot higher than that its not soil

Ok dude I'll lower the EC a nick or two... I don't understand what you mean Agito when you say 0.1 EC is to low to start with??... That's the way it comes out of my tap... Y'know... Is there anything I can do about that to make it better??
Defiantly no root rot boss my roots are super healthy.

hydro is good im sure your second go will be easier

what im saying is you start plants in bubblers above .8e c then move up

im running organic now because i need a hand every now and then but i know no one with exp in hydro

Yeah man I don't just give my plants plain water heh heh.. What I was saying b4 there was.... That if anybody out there who has plans to grow in hydro... With LED lights... & they have a low ec starting point in their tapwater such as myself... Really need to get some cal/mag supplements. I used the same amount of cal/mag in my buckets as SB uses in his (both the same size buckets) his ladies are fine mine go copper!! His starting EC is .4..... Mine .1... So im thinking that part of that .3 of a difference is calcium naturally in his tapwater which is missing from mine? I mean I put in 2 ml more than him on my previous res & still got signs of cal/mag def & had to top the res's up with more sensical!! So this time I've doubled my dose & they seem ok yet but I'll bet by the end of the week they will need some more!!
We have the same lights... More or less... Same plant strain... Same DWC buckets & pump... I just don't have the skills though but I'm following his journal as a guide but encountering lots more problems... Rightly so I'm clueless at this..

Y'know all that blurb I've just written could be a load of bollocks... I mean what the hell do I know?? Really?? Naff all.

I get you, This will vary on water source not just ec brand of nutes, method and there are hard water and soft water nute sub category.

I stopped dwc after root rot if very difficult to shift even with bleach wish i just went for the extra air stone and bigger pump

Hey Agito... How should I clean my set up after this grow is finished?? I think I had a touch of root rot earlier in the grow (ok now like).... I have a bottle of h202... I can use that can't I?? Do I need to boil my hydroton pebbles & net pots, airstones & lines etc?? I'm sure it wont be hard to find out how to but at the mo I really don't know so any advice very welcome.

id use bleach at a 5-10% dilution after the plants are harvested
