Complete newbie here, recently i have been planning on setting up a 80x80x160cm grow tent with two friendly forgiving strains for my first grow using a Mars hydro reflector 240w, not sure on which medium or forgiving strains to use for my first try, i have been watching a lot of DWC content online and its looks really enjoyable and simple if you keep on top of the Ph,Ec and water temps, hope you are all having a great day.

:smiley1:

Welcome Inspector Blakey:welcome::goodluck: I'm also a noob to site. Its a great community with tons of great info and people. As for strains I will let more experienced auto growers advise you, but I will say I'm on day 40ish of my 1st auto grow with Ak47 and critical mass. They have been easy and forgiving strains. When you get started and if you feel comfy, get a journal going and ask a lot of questions. Cheers Chef

What's up man, pleasure to have you here on afn, what style of hydro ha e you been considering? I personally do dwc buckets and coco. As far as strains go I can really comment. I have plenty of room In my tent and I also grow photos so I'm not picky on height yield or any other strain specific characteristics

Thanks for the reply and making me feel welcome, i have been considering deep water culture using a Nutriculture Oxypot, medium Vitalink clay pebbles, just not to sure if deep water culture would be to difficult for a newbie just wondering what other peoples opinions are, is dwc has simple has it sounds or would it be better just start out with a biobizz all mix in air pots

@912GreenSkell Good morning what dutch passion and dinafem strains would you recommend. I just germinated and planted my 2nd auto crop a couple of days ago, but respect and admire your grow journals! Space and height and lights are no problem, I have 10ft ceilings. I grow in coco with kiss method GH maxi series and liquid kool bloom, calmag etc. Interested in the Greenleaf nutrients Mc and sweet candy looks to good to be true. Cant wait to see final outcomes of everyones test grows. Thanks a lot Chef

I think it is simple. I've been growing dwc for a while and I can say it has it's difficult times and it's easy times. If you can manage to keep ph in line and any other issues such as heat, sterile res, at bay then you should get good results.

I did rdwc ( My own copy of Under Current System) for a year with Photos, Amazing results! But I lost a whole grow due to back to back snow storms and a 1 week power outage. I think it is wonderful except for the risk of power failure. I use coco for 10 years now and love it. 80/20 mix coco to perlite.
