I was wondering if anyone could tell me what are some of the highest yielding strain for autos. The description on some of these sound great but I just don't believe it so I felt it best to ask the Agn community for some honesty. This will b my first grow and I have about 3 feet n height to work with. Any and all help is much appreciated. Also, has anyone ever used a cash crop grow box? I know everyone prefers a DIY but u just don't have the time ( or skills) on a 6 day work week. Thanks again everyone. Smoking some nycd x sour cheese while I construct my plans

"Yield" is too subjective... the first thing you probably want to choose is the strength and type of high... like a preference between sativa or indica. That will determine a bit towards the yield you'll get. Check out some of the grow journals, by beginners and "pros" alike to figure how you might size up your selection.
Half of the yield equation will depend on your skills as a grower.
About the box... It's easy to say you don't have the time or skills, but look at the prices! If you get some plans, you could choose the wood you need, and most big hardware/lumber stores will cut stock to specification for you... all you'd need after that are a drill, wood screws, and a pilot bit... and you could choose the exterior to suit where you put it.
Alternatively, you could find plenty of ready-made household cabinets that you could easily modify by (drill with hole saw) installing vents, and everything else.
That "cash crop" box, with a footprint of 16" x 9.5", isn't that much space, and should probably be called the "change purse grow box". You can find better, and much cheaper... even if you had someone build it for you.

The yield is indeed limited by genetics but even more by skill, size of growchamber,lightning and medium and nutes and climate!
So if you get yourself a tent 2ft by 4ft and add 2 gn msoo4 leds
And some dp genetics (like automazar or td )you can yield like 200g if you take care of your plants
If you add 2 gn ms006 you could yield 300g!
But the love and care you give will make it or break it!

There are several strains that are good producers; but as these others have stated; there are a ton of variables in between "start" and "finish" that are going to affect your end results.
Also, you need someone to clarify this for you: CANNABIS IS TIME INTENSIVE

Seriously though if you ever expect to have good results with your plants; you're going to invest some time and money into this. These plants will grow themselves (they are weeds,) but they won't grow great. The benefit of growing indoor using a tent or a cab is that you're creating an isolated controlled growing environment. If done well; you should be able to control nearly every climate and environmental variable in your grow, allowing you to custom curtail conditions favorable to your plants.
I did a quick search for those cash crop grow boxes; never used them but wow those are expensive. Why not start with a small stealthy grow tent that you can put up and take down if you needed to? You can find tents in that size you are looking for 1/2 to 1/4 the price of that cash crop box.
You at least have your grow area space defined; that's a great start. I really recommend you check out the New Growers Forum and read every one of the stickied guides.
You need to decide what kind of lights you are going to use; ventilation, odor control, what kind security are you looking at (you live in a owned house, rented house, apartment, farm, etc etc.)
What is your desired yield?
Lastly, let's work on getting your expectations in the right frame of mind. You're a new grower. Let's cover all of the basics first and worry about the huge super crops later. Let's also work on your time management. I work 7 days a week, on call 24 hours a day, I'm a full time dad with a disabled wife. You HAVE the time bro. You MAKE the time. Just a little advice. Rome wasn't built in a day; awesome cannabis doesn't grow itself overnight. However, you are totally in the right place to learn, as long as you're willing to be flexible and adapt to some of the changes are may have to be made; you're going to be where you want to be faster than if you were looking anywhere else.

Thanks everyone this has been extremely helpful and if vaporhaizer can carry the load he has, I can definitely make time to build or fabricate my own boxes or get a tent. After I posted I read several journals on grasscity about the cash crop box and it has problems as if I built it LOL so that route is out of the question. I have read at least 20 journals from rooks to pros to try to get information on mistakes,good strains/genetics,difference in setups and yields as a result of those setups. I'm a perfectionist yet I know my first time out isn't going to go to perfection. I'm more concerned with box setup and stealth is a HUGE part of the pla. I need the box to b as insulated and smell proof as possible. I know about the carbon filters but I don't want to give up too much air flow if that's possible. I would like to go with leds or some sort of led/cfl combo if that was possible(may b trying to out think the room but I like being unique). I currently rent with neighbors n close proximity so I want to b as discreet as I can. I asked about nice producers as a failsafe in a sense because I know there will b growing pains,pun intended, and I thought maybe even if I had issues along the way a nice producer would b a little more forgiving and give me more than 10gs, for example. What autos would u recommend I start off with? Thanks again everyone and sorry if this is too long but I don't talk to anyone else about this
What's up! Get a tent like mine. I got a lighthouse hydro 30" wide x 18" deep x 36" tall and 1 blackstar 240uv! Get a small carbon filter like I got a a booster fan and check out Dutch passion for sure. Never seen any genetics I wouldn't grow! Top notch strains! I have just ordered some seeds from herbies called iced widow by female seeds! They were cheap and wanted to try them! Says it has enormous yields for an auto and the white widow pheno is an indica dom so it will stay pretty short! Check out my previous thread and check out some pics of my tent. Might be right up your alley. Good luck brotha!

i didnt know female seeds did iced widow as an auto , i grew it as a photo strain , maybe they do both now ? , gunna check their site , brb
ok just checked feemale seeds site , they have no iced widow auto listed but do have it listed as a photo
just tryin to help ya out here , maybe only grow it if your prepared for a photo grow just incase it isnt auto

edit : just looked further and it claims seed to harvest 69 days (maybe 12/12 from the start ?), still doesnt mention auto though and isnt in the auto section , its in the feminised section , mine vegged and so did the clone i took which vegged for a month+ before being sent to 12/12

When I searched it on herbies I put in feminized autoflowers and it came up. I guess we will see. Thanks for the heads up though!
