Hello growfriends! This is going to be a grow thread for Jean-O's Photoperiod strain Brain Damage. We are going to run 2 plants of this strain. Planning on 1.5gal airpots loaded with coco and Jacks 3-2-1 nutrient line.

The start: Nice little sleeve and carefully packed seeds.

Just shy of 48 hours soak time: Two small tails sticking out. Seeds have been placed into peat Jiffy pellets. Now we wait for growth!

Germination:
10/4 - Shotglass of water
10/5 - Nothing
10/6 - 8pm into presoaked Jiffy pellet
10/7 - Nothing
10/8 - Less than two days in the Jiffy pellets and one of the Brain Damage is up!


Into a 1.5gal Airpot loaded with Mother Earth Coco coir. Presoaked the entire pot with Jacks Clone/Seedling product.
377ppm and 6.2 pH

Germination: Brain Damage #2 is up as well. Just a few hours behind the other.

End of week 1: Day 9 & 10 update. Missed the week by a day or two. Not much besides some new growth. Watered on day 6 and day 9.

Seedling strength Jacks "clone" product. (377ppm and 6.2pH)

D6: 615ml in - did not measure runoff

BD#1 D9: 615ml in - 212ml out @406ppm

BD#2 D9: 615ml in - 188ml out @325ppm

Day 14 : End of week 2

Both plants were watered today. 615ml for each. First watering with 60% strength nutrients.

Brain Damage #1: The largest and fastest growing.
615ml in - 210ml runoff @553ppm

Brain Damage #2:
615ml in - 289ml runoff @499ppm

Day 21: End of week 3 -

Day 22 for BD#1 and Day 21 for BD#2. Both growing quickly now.

Nutrient strength has been increased to 80%, with the Jacks line that is 3g A, 2g B, and 1g Epsom salt. I bump the Epsom to 1.3-1.4g/gallon. Current feed strength has been 765ppm @6.1pH

Plants were fed 615ml on Day 14/15 (60%), Day 18/19 and Day 21/22 (80%). Watering frequency has increased from every 4/5th day to every 3rd day. Soon be moving to everyday.

Brain Damage #1: Day 22 currently (a day ahead of the others)

Fed on Day 19 & 22 - 80% strength : 756ppm @6.1pH
D19: 615ml in : 136ml runoff @657ppm
D22: 615ml in : 112ml runoff @649ppm

Fed Day 18 & 21 at 80% strength - 756ppm 6.1pH

D18 - 615ml in : 103ml runoff @ 592ppm
D21 - 615ml in : 168ml runoff @ 745ppm

End of week 4: A couple days late but lots of growth this week. Topped all the plants around day 25. The last week is a bit of a blur due to illness. I did a very light defoliation. The fan leaves are huge and were blocking the new node branches creating condensation. I removed 4 fans from each plant.

These plants are hungry. I stepped up the strength carefully from 60% to 80%. Everyone was looking a bit pale so I increased to full strength and yet the runoff ppm were still below input. I have now increased to 125% strength.

Feed strength increased to 100% on D24 (895ppm)

D25: 615ml in : <10ml runoff
D26: 615ml in : 194ml runoff @756ppm
D27: 0
D28: 615ml in : 0 runoff
D29: 615ml in : 171ml runoff @740ppm
D30: 615ml in : 138ml runoff @ 865ppm

Increased strength to 125% - 1085ppm
D31: 615ml in : 232ml runoff @ 825ppm

BD#2: Currently D31

Feed strength increased to 100% on D24 (895ppm)

D24: 615ml in : <10ml runoff
D25: 615ml in : 240ml runoff @781ppm
D26: 0
D27: 615ml in : 0 runoff
D28: 615ml in : 105ml runoff @885ppm
D29: 615ml in : 60ml runoff @ 1050ppm (high!)
additional 615ml in : 400ml runoff @ 830ppm (back on track!)
