Object :
Take an existing Kind K3 and retro fit it with some cob Led, holders, and reflectors. Also might try to throw some secondary mono Leds in. I will at first try to reuse anything that comes with the fixture to make it as cost effective as possible. Then I will upgrade components to make it as badass as possible.

Material :
Kind K3, Citizens clu48 cob with holder. Cob is 3500k 80 CRI/ Ideal 50-2204ct

Intent : Try to get a more efficient fixture with the help of the AFN community. Anybody can give their opinion /advice as I'm am not even close to being a professional in this area. I just hope by me doing this it will help people with their own builds. Hopefully give members some ideas and show what to do or not to do in certain situations. Any technical questions I will defer to @BigSm0. He is a geek and loves this s***.

This is the fixture and I will be taking it apart later today. I will post more pics of the inside then.

Nice! I'm a huge fan of adding some additional monos for bloom boosters!!! That's a huge key in building a light i think. If have to incorporate don't if I built my own or if have to just buy amare lol this is going to be fun, subbed in and ready to learn. Tonight are you opening up the k3?

You know it! At my niece's party so I'll have to wait until tonight but it's definitely going down lol. I'll have the pics up on the website as soon as I do it. This is going to be fun. All in the name of science and Mary Jane!

Well BRO. Since your new to building and it's a KIND I think it's a win win no matter what. If it works that great, if it catches on fire that's great too. But you should read here before starting any build.

Open that thing up
Can't wait to see the "extra large 2cm extra thick heatsink for better cooling."
Or the state of the art 12 band proprietary spectrum LEDs.
I promise to be kind. This is gonna be the best build yet.

LOL I might sense a bit of sarcasm. Well I do have a fire extinguisher on hand so I have that covered.
