Got in my Kindsoil today and will be running 2 3 gallon pots to start in a few weeks! Jumping the gun a bit on an early delivery, but the second the wife takes family to the airport on July 5th. I'll be setting things up about 30 seconds after they pull out of the drive way!

Hahaa thanks brothers! I have fun making the labels too, the Avery tools make it easy. They're a little different each time, anyone can do it, the only trick is to cover with clear tape, or else they turn into abstract art blobs in a week lol! This is actually the first time my tent doesn't look like the clearance section of Kmart lmao! I'm movin on up like the Jeffersons hahaaa

Hmmm, well I put the pots together this morning. Decided to keep it simple for myself and just use half a bag each, so about 2.5 lb. That fills about 1/3 of a Root Trapper II 3gal pot. Was soaked in sweat and about to have a heat stroke lol, so I'll just hope for the best.

A couple beans are already cracked so they might be going to the pots tomorrow!

By the way, these Root Trapper II pots are friggin awesome! A big improvement over the Viagrow fabric smart pots thay I've been using.

I have a few of those pots and really like them as well.

I put a pepper plant in a 2gal Root Trapper II pot and it's doing great! Couple years ago I tried peppers in the Viagrow black fabric pots and they did NOT perform well at all. I've got a killer pepper experiment going this year, just wait lol.

Got two children above the dirt, both Cream M XLs. They all popped nicely, it's the Red Poison germ rates I'm worried 'bout. The RP beans were older, so they might be a bit slower to find the light.

Can tell already the one on the R will be the first girl to reach the buried treasure lol, the KindSoil.

yeah arent those RT pots like 10 inches tall X 8 or so inches wide? thats the only reason I dont buy a 5 pack and try them just due to the height thing.my TM3's are 10.5 inches tall. what makes the trapper better than the TM3's?, in your opinion man? they look really nice and i kinda dig the white outside surface too.

OH also,my next grow,hows about you make some labels man and ill pay for the materials..LOL! (j/k) i reallly like them labels man. I hate you LOL!

Hahaaa! Yeah in a perfect world, I like taller/deeper pots for Canna. I'm of the opinion that canna roots like to travel down more than out, and of the opinion that taller versus wider pots are theoretically optimal. This is largely why I preferred the Viagrow fabric smart pots, their 3gals are tall. Pots like that also seem to do better in Sea of Green (especially lollipoped) setups as you can pack more pots closer.

Root Trapper does make tall square containers in 1 and 2 gal, those shaped like the old brown paper lunch bags. Those are perfect for certain trees like pine or maple, and would be really great for SoG canna. In 3gal all I could see is this "squat" shape that I have. These "3gal" are also noticeably bigger in volume than other 3gal pots by almost a gallon.

For labels, I just get those ~$10 packs of Avery labels for the printer, and use their online tools to make the content and print at home. It takes a bit of fiddling with it at first, but gets easier.

yeah they RT pots look like a better material,does it drip through as much? any insulating properties since it just looks like its twice or three times thicker is whjy Im so curious.LOL
